Ramsgate 1-1 Margate

Yep, when you look at the results today it is a case of what might have been.

A win and we would have gone clear top - but at least all our rivals didn't profit from us drawing!

The nucleus of the team is right but how do you deal with players having an off day (Question, mr Abbott!).

It is clear that it is hard to retain players in the subs who want a regular game! And I doubt if the funds will allow us to have top notch players on the bench who wouldn't be too worried about not being always in the action!

Abdullah and the 64 million dinar question!

Shocking treatment today i have seen more porta loos at kids tournaments no police no refreshments. The tickets purchased served no purpose absolute joke even looked like they were printed from a p.c. no sour grapes we didnt deserve any thing today football wise. but RFC YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. And most non league clubs having the misfortune to visit your 5hithole say the same.

Complete lack of facilities just shows that deadwood dont appreciate visitors. I waited 20 mins for a pint then gave up and my 16 yr old daughter waited even longer for a burger and gave up! RFC you def deserve the rep that you have. Dirty side with a poor club and sh*t pitch!!!

Can't help but think Ramsgate scored an enormous own goal ... their biggest attendance of the Season & hundreds of of cold fans unable to get a snack or a hot drink - even if they shared the profits with Margate & 'borrowed' the mobile van we use at Hartsdown they'd have made a small fortune.

agree Peter, they could have made a killing, my son queued for nearly all 2nd half to get a burger with his mates so as far as he is concerned we won 1-0 wink Another thing my daughters boyfriend went to game (unfortunately at Rams end), he said after the game he thought our No 5 (Sappleton) played rubbish. Just goes to show what Ramsgate fans know about football ehh!

Can it just be co-incidence? Whether it is or not I think the stats merit a continuation of the thread don't you. Besides these players are seasoned campaigners & they should be used to pressure anyway local derbies included.
As for you "differentgame",dont judge the team on the one game that you managed to watch them perform in. Occasionally teams have bad days & despite getting a very important point today, today was one of those days. Watch them more reguarly & you will want to come back again & again. You'll see what we have seen AWAY from home. We just need it to sparkle at HOME now. Its annoying I know that they don't perform on a big stage but they will soon. Someone is going to feel the full force of this team in top gear soon & a big score will come about.Be there to witness it!

Cookie i am not arguing the good luck posts i am all for them, but i am saying all this talk of the Ramsgate game how big it is and that may have put pressure on the players to get a result.

Alex, what you might like to remember is that most of our players probably weren't even born and bred in Kent let alone Margate! So, the 'pressure' of this derby probably would have played more on us that the players!! I imagine they all knew the importance as a derby game but also knew it was going to be hard anyway as they knew what Ramsgates current form was like and their table position.

agree with all said about Ramsgate , how the hell do they think they are going to get a good name and do what they did yesterday . I also brought my Daughter to the game and apart fom enjoying her 1st local derby and the atmosphere i had to tell her there was no food unless she stood and waited for god no`s how long , 2 sh..e toilets to use and walk her through a bunch of spot faced twats looking for trouble at the end . I will be emailing Ramsh..e with a letter of disgust . Hartsdown will show them how to entertain .
