Edgware give away 3 presents against Bigg Town

Recommended Posts

Well we dropped some points today..happy? I would not have predicted a 3-3 draw, nor would many of others who no doubt lost points by putting Edgware down as their joker game in the prediction league.

Not making any excuses but that was a POOR Edgware performance against a very spirtited Bigg Town side, twice we took the lead and twice gave it away.

They scored first, we replied and then took the lead just before HT, they scored on the stroke of HT. Second half we scored in the first min, but rather then go on and record a win, we gave the ball away and they scored.

Poor defending from our players, but fair play to bigg Town.

I guess it gives the others hope as we see our lead slip to 5 points.

Happy Christmas

..
| see ruislip had a thumping win over LC today.

Look, we have to give the others at least a chance <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And maybe now it will shut those up that keep saying that Edgware are making the league boring.

But you let a team who haven't been able to hit a barn door with a banjo get three! What happened?

They hit the barn door three times and it could have been more to be honest. WE had the majority of play, but to be honest we played poorly, and our defence were not on the same wavelentgh for some reason (maybe too many xmas works parties...?)

I guess it was just one of those days, it was an entertaining game, albeit even though we played poorly.

Still, on the plus side, we scored three goals for three games on the trot, and we got a point.

With you and Leverstock winning it keeps the title race ticking over nicley going into the last week of the year.

The worrying thing for me is the form of Oxhey Jets! We have to go there next Sat!

Yeah, they are on a good run, but we will see how good when they face you and leverstock.

If we fail to beat Haringey next Saturday, then I will start to get a little worried shocked I guess I should not have said the next two games are matches we should win, in football you never know

Maybe just maybe we could lose our lead, but with our games in hand, it would be our own fault.

I think we should be ok though, today was the kind of wake up call they need, to show them that they cant just turn up and expect to take the 3pts.

Or maybe it was the start of a poor run of form?

Glad you got it, that's a first then. What did you think of the programme, you could tell yesterday that Hoddesdon were already shaking in their boots at the prospect of us taking their treasured award but to be fair it will be touch and go as their's is a 'work of art'.

I think your's is very good, speciallly the photo's in colour, that must be pretty unheard of for clubs at our level and below.

I think you could prehaps improve the cover, maybe an action photo,or the club crest in large.

I think you could also maybe have a few more articles to read rather then just match reports, and you could have a double page with full match results and line ups, and prehaps move the teams to the back page to find easier.

That said, its a very good effort. The xams card is nice, is that a real murial?

AWK - Lol, do I really need to say, I stopped counting at 100 pages and there was even a 47 item index. It's clearly a work of art of War and Peace proportions however there was stuff just thrown in for the sole purpose of padding it out for example match reports from meaningless and totally irrelevant Premier Division games such as Royston Town v Biggleswade Town and Welwyn Garden City v Holmer Green. There were also a number of league tables from other league's including last seasons Southern Counties Floodlit Youth League final standings of which Hoddesdon weren't even involved in and six pages of their Club history. I'm certainly not knocking it though and on paper it should win the programme award again hands down.

Gavin - Thanks, yes the players painted the murial themselves as part of our innovative Community work, see the link below:
