After quitting Stansted as caretaker just over 3 weeks I ago I've closely followed the situation at Hargrave Park. it really saddens me because believe or not there some good players still there like Stuart Rodwell & Danny Penfold. I was really optimistic in the close season after the way we finished last season with a few wins under our belts, but when you lose players to clubs higher up the pyramid & suffer injuries like we did it is so hard to replace (especially with no budget !!!). I was eventually spending more time trying to get a team out twice a week than concentrating on my work committments.

Stansted is a great club & people like Terry Shoebridge deserve more credit & success for their efforts. I really hope that they get a new manager with more of local knowledge of good players, because until that happens they will continue to struggle.

Feel for you Syd...Just over 20 years ago, FA Vase winners and now this. All very sad, but as Sawbo and many others will always be a village side. I do wish them well.
