Kentish Town running scared?

Recommended Posts

Word on the street is that Rhodes has been on the phone to Hoddy this evening trying to get the game postponed!!!

Care to comment Rhodes? Is it that you just really want to go to the PB game for a snog?

Can't be that, NF. You know he puts Kentish Town ahead of everything, including his kid's Christmas. I think all his children's Christmasses came at once a few years ago and he doesn't bother about them any more!

Isn't it funny how Rhodes disappears when someone posts something he doesn't like?

How did you know I rang Hoddesdon, were you talking to Jane, I was merely trying to get an idea of whether there might be a pitch inspection in the morning but I was told in no uncertain terms that the game was definitely on and the hallowed Lowfield turf was in fine fettle.

It's like a doctor - patient confidentiality agreement... I can't divulge my sources! See you later Rhodes and I'll definately take that pint you're offering from your chairman!

I think NeutralFan is probably regretting setting up this thread as he wakes up bleary eyed this fine morning with a huge hangover going by the way he was downing pints in the Hoddesdon bar when I left him last night. When he struggles to his corner shop to pick up a copy of the Non League paper he will see us sitting proudly on top of Division 1 for Christmas, I actually felt a little sorry for Hoddesdon yesterday and I'm glad we didn't take all our chances in the second half and convert the penalty as it could well have been double figures had we done so.

Ah, Rhodes.

I didnt get the chance to introduce myself to you yesterday and being that I dont get on the boards much these days I totally forgot that you were visiting Lowfield. I didnt even realise who you were untill NF pointed you out to me.

Was nice to finally put a face to the messages yesterday. And even though I think your 3rd goal was offside, I think it's fair to say that the better team won. Felt sorry for our keeper, Chris Fitkin. After all, twas a superb penalty save from your man Looney.

I think NF enjoyed your pint too. Did he buy you one back? I doubt it, tight sod! Having said that, he did buy me a cheeky Red Bull so I can't grumble.

And we finished the evening off with a wee Xmas drink accompanied by some of the most depressing music, courtesy of my iPod. Poor old Hughesy! Wonder if he woke up this morning......

Jonno - You should have introduced yourself yesterday and I would have bought you a beer, were you one of the guys with NeutralFan. No he didn't buy me one back but I had to rush off to Potters Bar as I had arranged to meet Paula for a Christmas drink, I would have liked to spend some time with you but I was on a promise (of a snog). At least you have now witnessed first hand that everything I say on here about the team is perfectly true and our Brazil '70 style of play is not hype.

...I'm thinking "San Marino '69" is a more accurate description.....

Jonno - Are you actually talking about football, San Marino 69, 69, think about it. (Paula don't comment).

Thank goodness, I hate to think what your response would have been. I suppose you could always PM me though, please, pretty please!
