Come on You Lillywhites!

My other half is very maternal unlike you, it's just like shelling peas to her and she has never been in labour for more than half an hour each time.

Well you'll probably see her tomorrow if you're meeting at the New River Sports Centre at 12.30 so you can ask her yourself, she's coming to collect some rabitts from Frank for Christmas dinner. Talking of rabitts I'm off to bed!

Could have got Rusty to get you some - he likes nowt better than to go rabbiting. Has been successful on one occasion too.
Other than that me and Unc Urchin could have gone lamping - could have got ya loads!!! (and free of charge)

Frightening, that's the only word that readily springs to mind to sum up our performance this afternoon, NeutralFan was at the game and will confirm that I am not talking out of my backside. NeutralFan, it was really good to meet you, sorry I couldn't introduce you to the great one but at least you met Saf and Tom 'Beckenbaur' McMullen.

Eating large portion of "humble pie" for breakfast Rhodes! Apart from your own great performance, the results really went for you too!

AWK said: Thanks for the card Rhodes, much appreciated. What was the Hoddesdon programme like, and how many pages did it have?
AWK - Lol, I stopped counting at 100 pages, it is certainly an impressive publication 'War and Peace' style and even has an index, on paper it should win the award hands down however there is stuff just thrown in for the sole reason of padding it out. For example six pages of Club history is surely unnecessary and there is a lot about the Premier Division including match reports (Royston v Biggleswade Town and Welwyn Garden City v Holmer Green) that, as far as I can see, have no connection whatsoever with Hoddesdon Town. HTFCew might want to note that the line ups are on the back cover for easy access, a no no in my book!

Rhodes, you read that Hertford programme that Horace kindly gave me to pass on to you yesterday??

Still reading your one - read half of it in the bath.

Sorry to critise (you can hit me next time you see me) but.... for the first time reader like myself it was pretty interesting but the match reports - there were a lot of them. Are they in every programme??

I can understand the last one maybe two reports and also details of reserve/youth fistures but every match???

Maldini - Shame you couldn't make it, you missed something really special, it wasn't so much Brazil '70 but more the Hungarian side of the 50's that made Brazil '70 look like no hopers in comparison. I even put my hand in my pocket to buy NeutralFan a pint afterwards, you would have got one too.

Morning people, hope you all had a good Christmas.

Thanks for the pint Rhodes!

As for the game, I missed the first half hour and arrived at 0-1. I was informed by the Hoddy faithful that at this point Hoddy had missed 3 one on ones and KTFC had scored with their only shot so far. The last 15/20 minutes I saw of the first half were fairly even.

Second half was a different story, pretty much one way traffic except for a couple of set pieces and half chances for Hoddy. KTFC looked dangerous every time they went forward, Lee Scott did look a bit useful and should've had a hat trick. A lot of pace in the side and to be honest the Hoddesdon defence and midfield were all over the place.

Stand out players for KT were the 4 & 5 and Lee Scott.

Good side.

Sounds like one of those strange results you get over the Christmas period!

I've just read the Hoddy match report off their website and it is a pretty good reflection of what i saw.

How did the evening go over at your place? I think I left St Mags at about half one rather the worse for wear!

NeutralFan - Yes you missed out big time, I got a snog from Paula however on the down side Potters Bar Town's behaviour was disgusting and he totally blanked me all evening. The Hoddy v Kentish Town report is now on our own Website, very unbiased if I say so myself!

The Hungarian side of the 1950s actually influenced a lot of the football philosophy of Brazil. There is an amazing history of co-operation, plagerism and appreciation betweeen the two sides with regards to tactics (4-2-4 anyone?), thoughts about styles of play etc. The great Hungarian side went on coaching trips to Brazil and laid the development for the style of football the British media 'wet their collective pants' over today.

Lato - Thanks for that interesting post which endorses your wide and impressive knowledge of the beautiful game. It just goes to show the type of total football, Holland '74 and '78 style, our team is playing this season and I'm just glad that you don't just have my word for it any longer, NeutralFan and Jonno were clearly both mesmorised on Saturday and still in a state of shock when I saw them in the bar afterwards as if they had just seen a ghost.

Rhodes,

the only thing that I am shocked by (and I think I speak for NF here too) is the fact that you managed to get an Xmas snog off of Paula!

I mean, you seem nice enough but Brad Pitt, you aint! Anyway, I thought you were attatched Rhodes?? Or are you in one of those open relationships that lets you go round copping off with random Canvey supporters?

Jonno
