It was mainly attitude.

It seemed that they wanted to keep the place spectatorless, and everything had to be done to the letter and beyond.

Segeant Major versions of bouncers, chasing after people if the broke the slightest of rules.

You weren't asked to do something, you were TOLD to.

I can think of much more, but I'll leave that to the others.

It certainly wasn't friendly last year, but it was one of the first matches played there. As I was being frisked before going in, one of the friendlier stewards explained that the local council insisted on that level of stewarding and searching as a condition of the ground being used for football. That also was the reason for the fire engine, ambulance and a hut full ofSt John's ambulance people being there.

Despite our friendly chat, I still wasn't allowed to bring my can of coke into the ground. Could probably have taken a bagfull of the real thing in though, as that didn't fit their description of a weapon.

Anyone know if its been foggy in Chelmsford today?

mainly because we had a couple of players suspended and a couple injured....back to full strength on Saturday I'm afraid.

We destroyed Harrow last week, although it was 3-0 we squandered many more chances , some due to the state of the pitch, and unusual casual duff finishing....

No problems at MP the playing surface is now one of the best in the Ryman prem, as a tremendous amount of cash has been ploughed into it and we employ or own groundsman.

I'm sorry chaps the council do put restrictions on us, but are slowly being sorted. Obviously it was a new ground and we had to apply the rules as they stood then. All was new to them as well.

At the end of the day (yes it gets dark!!!) we have come from bankrupcy to were we are and what we have got now in a short time, so just bare that in mind before grumbling......please.
