I notice in my short absence that the canvey game seems to be taking on much significance with our forum bretheren....I see things somewhat differently however as I cast the UU xray vision across the last two isthmian weeks of this year of our lord 2006....

WARE is the BIG one....canvey is a mere bagatelle in the scheme of these four game xmas promotion issues...

ware

canvey

aveley

sudbury

now I understand that some games take on much significance during the season and old rivalries are hard to put aside..especially on boxing day and I and mine will be there with the rest of you guys in full regalia and santa hats and much enjoyment will be had in a festival atmosphere I am sure....but the canvey game will not decide anything....the ware game this coming saturday however may well prove to be very significant...

very significant indeed.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

a very merry xmas from me and mine to all of us and all of them... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Make no mistake, Canvey will be a very tough game.

They have really got themselves together now and I do consider it the most significant game of the Christmas period because if we win, it will really be hard for anyone to catch us and would be a major psychological blow for Canvey.

Each and every game is significant of course.

I totally agree with unc on this one. For me the game at Flackwell was as, if not more important that the Canvey outing. It's going to be exciting, but no more important that continuing to pick up three points at every opportunity. So lets get behind the lads on Saturday and make sure we collect three more.

think it was around the 700 mark,in all fairness against the bigger sides this season ie borehamwood, harrow and welling we have raised our game,i beleive we are a top ryman prem side at worst,in fact with a couple of additions i think we could more than hold our own with the conf south boys,i do not think canvey are a top ryman prem side or anything near conf south, although they are clearly on form.If we get a couple of early goals i can see it being a rout

Better atmosphere than last time you reckon?

There is more of a rivalry now. What was the attendance last time roughly?

Lets hope so!

Attendance was just over 900 I think. Last game of the season I seem to remember.
