I think we're going to lose 3-2 <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Have to say I'm sick of hearing about how wonderful the Aussies are at sport but apart from that its nice and warm here so yeah life is good. I will be back for the start of next season when I expect the big push for promotion to the Conference national will be on! It'd be nice to see you guys get to the Connie South as well.

 

Have to say I was disappointed with Chelmsford Towns - council owned facilty when I saw the mighty IRON take the Ryman title there in April. The the ro-ro temp stands were a bit on the bouncy side, I was spot on with their crowds settling down under the thousand mark (2,000 every match my [****!!****]).

 

So hows married life treating you Gaz? Sorry to hear your selling the 'family jewels' has the missus gotten fed up with the love making? Oh and a big hi! To TC and JR as well <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

There are several versions of the spectatorate at Melbourne. One to appease the Vatman, one to please the Chelmsford BC, one for the Bank Manager,one to tell their spectators so they know how many mates they have been with, and one to try to impress other interested people. All the sums are very different when seen on camera.

This thread is "The Official Chelmsford" thread. Here to make you feel at home, following the accusations that we don't and won't (strange that you squatted quite happily for 7 seasons at our gaff but there you go).

 

Is there any truth in the rumour that a number of your support are

a) not bothering to turn up on the 30th because they don't wish to give us any money

or

B) going to turn up at half time, so as not to pay any admission, therefore, not giving any money to the club.

 

In the even of a) or B) being true, one must wonder at the mentality of some of your supporters <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> I thought that £8 to watch your team "spank" ours (as one reads on the Soppy Box) would be money well spent?

A few, I'm afraid I cannot understand this view but some are extremely bitter over past events? perhaps you can explain. This one is lost on me completely. You've been reading the MB so most are looking forward to it. The derbies are the best games of the season in my view!

Only heard this from LMU. No one else has mentioned it. I may be 10 mins late but will gladly pay my dues.

Would whole heartily agree with you Gary. I wouldn't support anyone doing that, and regardless of the banter I do not know any of the regular fans who would do that....now pick yourself back up off the floor and have a good day..got to go shopping!!!! ...yuk <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Really, I can't add any extra light on the reason why a supporter would do such a thing. Perhaps they are not true supporters of your club? Perhaps, they don't wish to support the club at away games? Perhaps this may be the reason your travelling support doesn';t match your home support...or maybe it's a reverse BBB, that they feel they are too aloof to grace our ground with their presence.

 

I am aware that there are / were a few that didn't wish to be at New Lodge over the ground share years and took the attitude that Billericay Town FC were the root of some of their problems. Problems I may add had nothing to do with BTFC.

 

Well, it'll be their loss as I'm sure it'll be a cracking afternoon's entertainment. They won't be missed.
