Basically what we are all trying to say is that PAT WE NEED YOU TO STAY and help us achieve our dreams, but also your dreams of playing regular football at a club that admires and respects you!

 

Isn't that all a player really wants out of football, to enjoy playing and to see people enjoying watching you play!

The say strikers work in pairs-and i am sure Danny would credit Pinns with much of his goalscoring exploits, but equally central defenders are best as a combination-and RT and PS seem to work well together-'the sum of the pair is possibly greater than the individual parts'-or something like that.

 

Reminds me a bit of the Manchester United pairing of about 8 years ago-Bruce and the guy whose name escapes me-begins with P and ended up at Middlesborough ?

Thats the girl-Pallister-never knew he was born in Ramsgate though.

 

Quite a formidable pairing in those days.

 

I also think that add in Greg and Skinner and we have at long last a proper defensiveunit working well together

Just thought I would show you all this (Hope Ken dosen't mind,I'm sure he wont).

I posted an e.mail to Ken Tomlinson asking for him to contact Trotty or Pat to be sure they saw what was being said about Pat on here.This is the reply I got back today from Ken. Thought I'd just bring this subject back to the fore for one more attempt to try & persuade him to sign on,on a more permanent basis!

Thanks for your E mail regarding your thoughts and indeed many other

supporters to keep Pat Sappleton at the Club for the remainder of the season.

 

Pat has effectively added stability to the back four and also to the Team,his

departure once the January Windows open would prove a major lose.

 

To this end I have printed your E mail and will forward the contents to both

Robin and Pat.

Now if theres any more pleas for him to stay or/and complimentary remarks about his play or even our admiration of the bloke then please give them on here again or if you haven't done so do so now please.This might be our last chance to try & persuade him to stay. Come on lets urge him to stay & lets try & tempt him one more time.

Hopefully Pat will come off that fence (we know about & understand your valid reasons for being there) & come & sit with us on our "GATE" for the rest of the season at least.

Come on Pat give us a pressy for Christmas!! And thanks Ken for highlighting this thread to both Trotty & Pat! Lets hope they are still looking in!!

Thanks Alan,appreciated, but its Pat we should really be thanking. My point of posting that reply above was to highlight that its highly likely that Pat IS indeed looking in. Hi Pat!

Just remember Pat that with you on board, amongst all these other fine players we have & as a unit, we can go all the way here.A promotion on your C.V,better still,& its a real possibility,a winners medal,will do your future no harm at all wherever you go.You've already done us proud but we would like to see this job finished this season & with you on board.

Again stick with us for this season at least & see how things pan out after that.More years of your service would be great but for now a commitment to us for the remainder of this season would do wonders for both supporters & players alike.

We know you have your needs & its understandable that you wish to get the best you can get but this club isn't as rich as some feel we are but we are rich in talent & you are included in that talent.If theres anyway you can compromise with the club in order to have you remain with us then please do so.

Just one more thing Pat.There are many more GATE fans out there on the terraces who do not know of this "request" on here & who do not have access to a computer or this forum yet I know many many more of those people feel the same way as we do on here!
