Single: Lets Get It Up by AC/DC
Album: Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden

Both in 1982! And I actually had the Maiden Album playing this morning on my MP3 player on the way in to work.

Now 8? I bought 20 original hits on K-tel long before Now started (about 72-73 I think good season that Ruislip Manor won the league!)

First single (ish) was the double-ep of Magical Mystery tour by the Beatles

First Album Dont shoot me by Elton John

First CD Bad Animals by Heart

But I was given a copy of Help! by the Beatles as a 5th birthday present (when it was their current album)

72/73.. a very good year indeed, I would've been popping into the world as you were sealing your league victory!

I had a few of those Top of the Pops albums but they were bought by my parents. Can't remember the first album I actually bough myself. Might have been the Grease soundtrack.

First single was Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen.

My parents used to give me the co-op stamps, i'd exchange them for cash and then but records. Started at an early age.
I have over 2,000 CD albums and prob 1,000+ cassettes.
Sold my vinyl collection about 15 years ago to help with a deposit on my flat.
Be lost without my music!!

Those TOTP albums were not sung by the artits that were listed, its common knowlege that Elton John before he became famous sung other artists hits on the TOTP albums. They were the 'now' of the 70's except they were not recrord by the orinal bands/singers.
