Gavin i see the "nuff Said" part of the post never got a mention!! - thats the kind of big headedness i am on about, and yes i must say i used to look out for posts started by you because you could always be guarenteed it to be a good one - as to why i read them, but lately its been very piggish and big headed and told u so! To say i am jealous of edgware is a bit far fetched and again big headed i thank you for our comments about how well haringay are doing alot of work has been put in to get the stigma of a being a relegation club lifted, comments saying how guarenteed 3 points where against the borough is a kick in the teeth to those putting in work, time and effort!!

..
No offence was meant when I said..

"next two games against Bigg Town and Haringey, which should see us pick up more points."

As you can see, I clearly did NOT say EASY points or we will WIN both games, I said SHOULD. I think you would agree that Edgware SHOULD win the matches, but as I said nothing is that clear cut in football.

I am sorry if I came across as being bigheaded and 'flash' thats not what it was meant to be like.

The 'nuff said' was taken from a t-shirt I have that says 'Millwall 'nuff said' it basically means not much else to say.

Good luck to Haringey for the rest of the season and in the SSML Cups

Can't argue the better team won but there is such a thing as a gracious winner Gavin.

First time I've seen Edgware this season and they were functional without being spectacular but I can see why they are top of the league. Had elements of fortune about the first two goals and we had the consolation of causing your defence to get in a right mess for our goal which was the best of the night. I shall be at the WLG on Tuesday 23rd January all being well when I shall be supporting the side of football and so hoping Harefield win.

PS where was the airhorn last night I didn't hear it!!!!

I didn't see the second one though, as I was talking to 'Hair' who had just walked in.

Did Hair mention how many penalties he's giving us against Canvey on Saturday?

Hi Paula

Yeah but i'm coming along now so if I introduce myself i'm sure I can persuade him to give us a penalty (or too)

Hi Hair

He sounded worried about getting caught in the middle, which is a bit worrying for a ref!

hair did say he was deliberately avoiding this board in the build up to the game. However he was looking forward to some post match Battenburg

Dont you start!!!!!

As for where was the arihorn where were you? I asked around but either no one had heard of you or they did not know. I did however see the most 'trainspotter's type support anywhere so far this season. Either they are the 'groundhoppers' that you so look foward to having on Monday nights or your supppot looks seriously dodgy, and not in a good way LOL

As for your goal, sure it was a good finnish, but we should have had a penalty which is why you caught us cold and broke away. Our two penalties came from the fact that your defenders could not cope with our strikers, there were FOUR around Adam Wallace and you still had to bring him down!

We could and should have scored at least another two in the second half. Manor are not a bad side, but they lack any real finnshers, mid table is prob about right, thoguh good luck to you for the rest of the season.

As for being at our game with Harefield, and suppporting the 'side of football' how do you work out that's Harefield? anyway, you can support who you like, as long as we get your fiver on the night Maybe you will pop into the boardroom that night and say hello

I see the crowd was 107 last night, is that your biggest crowd? as the crowd figure for your match with Harefield is not down there, but I am sure you had a bigger gate for that game.

I can see why you play on Mondays then as it doubles you ave gate, but all those trainspotters cant be good for anyone LOL

Um....but some of them look funny, unless that was just Manor's regular support!

Well they are no good to us then, we dont sell bugers, bagdges, or anything else, we do have programmes, and if you go in the bar drinks LOL.

I did like the fact that Manor's tea bar doubled as a covered stand behind the goal, in theory you could stand there all match, eat and drink as much as you want without leaving your spot!

I sat down, but the seats were too low down, so decided to stand for the rest of the match along the side by the seating stand.

Like I said Gav..learn to win graciously. You have a good side though no one can deny that. You could do with lightening up though I mean every time anyone dares to not predict an Edgware win you jump on them like its a criminal offence.

Manor don't have a finisher...hmm The Sway has 29 goals this season, however he was well policed yesterday.

I did say we would be behind the goal Manor were attacking and we were both halves. As for no one knowing us well they wouldn't know myself and Spider by our sign on names.

I've made my points about Edgware's appeal on this board before hence my support of the Hares even though they are the local rivals now.

Oh by the way somone needs to tell your programme ed that Edgware is spelt with two E's not THREE!

And how your club can charger £1.50 for that is a disgrace, you and Kingsbury both charge that and both have the worst in the league.

I did say when Rhodes started his forum Famine, that i was afraid somone would take over as the forum nuisense, and i am afraid to say i was right and i am even more shocked to see it being you Gavin! For clubs who do not get a massive weekly gate, their Programme price has to go up to cover costs, and to say that Ruislip do not have a finisher is astounding when after 19 league games(+ a few cup games) their striker has scored 29. I fear Next Gavin will come out with a we are not worthy dance on a Clement Temile post!!!!!

Dont be a MUG 3praise, there are lots of clubs with lower crowds then Manor that still put together a decent enough match programe and dont charge £1.50 for it.

IMO Manor are ripping off anyone who gets a programme, there was NOTHING of any note to read in the 24 page edition, and they spelt Edgware wrong.

3praise you ARE the weakest link!!!!!!!

I agree with you about the price of the Manor programme Gavin, it is a bit steep for a non-league effort. Barnet only charged £2.50 for their programme.

Gain - the economics of producing programmes at our level don't make any sense unless you've got a riendly printer doing you a favour. We have about 80 programmes printed each home game, at a cost of almost £1 each. The covers are already pre-printed and if you add that into the equation, it's over £1 per copy. We sell about 25 of the 80 produced! The others go to the two committees, the match officials and the two teams, with a few left unsold.
Lots of clubs are charging £1.50 nowadays in an attempt to minimise the loss from producing the programme. With respect, what has spelling Edgware wrong got to do with the price? Would still have been wrong for £1 !

3praise - What on earth are you on about, I've seen a Haringey Borough programme this season, okay they're free but that's only because the serious fraud squad would be down to Coles Park like a shot if they charged even 50p, sorry 20p.

E's a good, E's a good, he's EdgEwarE E's a good!

Just trying to lighten it up.

Do agree that £1.50 is a bit steep though, but not a lot of point having a go at the people on this board as none of us are listened to by the powers that be at Manor anymore (Sob!)

Have a good Xmas all, and I'll see any of you that are going to Harefield v Manor on the 30th

..
I did not know that the Haringey programme was free, but anyhow, its not that bad. Even though there was only about 12 pages, there WAS stuff to read, and it WAS informative, for eg, it had a good article about past games bewteen the two clubs.

Some programmes like for eg Harefield may have bumper pages, but there is nothing of any real note to read (harefield had some naughty jokes which was odd LOL )

I would rather have a programme with 12 pages, all of which give you something to read, and a page or two of ads, compared to one with 40 odd pages with 6 of any real interest and the rest photocopies from the mito site and ads.

In my view Haringey's comes in the top end of programmes from our league of the clubs visited so far.

Thats a shame that your board dont listin to you. There is a page in your progamme that says anyone who wants to help is welcome, if the board dont listin to the fans at this level then what hope is there for a club to push forward.
