Langford are a small family run Club and many of the officials and commitee members attend all games. There are only two (three if I bring my dog) supporters who attend all home and away games. The few 'old men' in the stand are actually the 'ULTRAS' and I advise you not to mess with them. We have a problem that if any particular player starts to shine then the UCL premier clubs in our area start sniffing around

The Kit does come in for criticism, and is the same as worn by both Valencia and Galatasary a couple of seasons ago

Regarding yesterday, I though Edgware Town were the best side we had played this season and although their Goalkeeper made some excellent saves, I don't think there was going to be any result, other than an Edgware win, we had to play really well just to keep it at three.

Very impressed with their No 2 and 3

First post, so I apologise if it is not as hilarious as some of the regulars on this forum

Hi Miko, I thoguht Langford were a decent side, they tried to play football at all times, and on a different day could have scored 3, and the score could have been 6-3.

It was an entertaining game specially the second half for me, as we played well, but you still had some chances.

Is that kit your home kit? I saw a pictue on your website and you have an all yellow kit, that red and yellow is certainly bright, but its not that bad, and yes it is like Lens and Galatarssary, also dont Partick Thistle wear those colours?

Good luck for the rest of the season

LOL, Langford Ultras!!! I like it ...

Actually there was an older gentleman sitting near me yesterday who was vocal in his support, I think thats good.

I spoke to several of your supporters/ members in the boardroom at HT, and they seemed a nice lot. They seemed happy to be playing us at our ground and said we had a nice ground and pitch.

I saw one guy wit a red & white scarf on but could nto make it if it said Langford on the scarf. I am sure you get more then the one man and his dog, even if it is your dog

....
well we cant all have great suppport like Romford can we !!!!

Actually our crowds have gone up steadily, from a very poor average of 40ish last season to just under 80.

We may not have a great support, but we have a GREAT team and thats what's important

I take it you didn't want that Edgware programme I PM'd you about...

The red and yellow is our home kit, the yellow in the web site picture is the away, we also have an all red strip for European Games (we hardly ever wear that though)

It is true we get a few more fans at the home games, although the average age gets up to about fifty then !!!!.

When I first starting doing the 61FC programme we drew Langford at home in the Division One Cup, as we had no floodlights the match was played at Langford instead. Langford had a reputation for having a very good home support, averaging about 70, which was comparable with Dunstable Town at the time and impressive for a Division One side. I had to know the average crowd btw to know how many programmes to make.

Not that bad then, HTFCEW, dont you think the attendance for the game at Kingsbury is a little odd? seeing that they have not even got anywhere near 70 all season at home?

I really dont think that Oxhey took over 30 or 40 fans to Kingsbury do you????

As I said I bet the figure was SEVENTEEN and it was missheard when it was called in.

Their home average is actually 59, with a low of 50 and a high of 75.

I know it is now HTFCew, so either their average attendance has gone down since going up, or they exaggerated what they got 3-4 seasons ago, unfortunately the SSML didn't publish attendance figures until this season so I can't tell you either way!

Anyway, here is a clip-should the keeper be embarrased to let it in, or will he claim to be distracted? Good shot though!!

And guess which computer game I've been playing?

Is that for real?

I'll have to ask my son about the computer game - I don't do football manager type games - give me Sonic or motor racing games any day for consoles. I am currently addicted to Luxor 2 on the PC, which is much harder than Luxor 1 - I can't get past level 9 on expert level.

It's not very realistic though - who's managing Hertford?

Its for real alright, sodding Kentish Town lost to Edgware in the penultimate match and then beat me (61FC obviously) to take the title away from my grasp.

Its actually the original Football Manager for the Commodore 64 which I was playing on emulation on my PC, I changed the names of the teams myself so it was pot luck to how good a side that you got, obviously Hertford lucked out, though I can't remember who the original team was.
