Sorry.....had to giggle..... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

abuse begins............ <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Chelmsford average league gate 764
Gate vs Billericay 1268
Next best league gate 804

Personally I hope Chelmsford bring loads to New Lodge. I hope and believe that we shall excede the 923 that attended the Wimbledon game. I also hope and believe that we'll be the ones giggling at the end of the game.

Do you 'hope' or 'believe'? .....odd sentence...

Will you be giggling because the money you've taken or crying at the three points we've taken? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

And I'm not going to start a debate on your average home attendances...... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think I've answered this question all be it flippantly. I'm going to answer it seriously now...

1) This is a unofficial and public forum moderated by appointees of the forum nominated by Billericay Town Football Club for the club.
2) It is obvious from the posts that some like to quote stats and crowd attendances because they feel it is a way of proving that a club is bigger or smaller than they (we) are. These people enjoy posting these "facts" as a way of "banter".
3) As long as the posts are "clean" and free of personal abuse (personal attacks on other posters, their families and freinds etc. - The forum does delete swear words and replace them with [****!!****]) there is no problem.
4) I can understand that people find this frustrating when reading a link that has a heading that relates to a match or a particular subject that they have to "trawl" through what they consider "rubbish".
5) This is the most important point - There is no reason why people shouldn't post "rubbish" as and I refer to point 1 - it is a public forum, not owned by BTFC. It has many uses of which are information, reports, a sharing of opinions and "banter" (in some cases the "banter" can be quite amusing - I refer to the Rev. MacMerger's post earlier this year) but whatever the posts (or use), it is a means to show that the club (and other clubs that engage in the same pratice) have a lively club supported by it's lively, informed and loyal support. The important points here are "information" and "sharing opinions". because you disagree with an opinion shouldn't mean you shouldn't have a say and put your point accross.

I am fully aware (before someone points it out) that we have a General Area for subjects that some find are not football related (attendances of football clubs?) but I have found that a subject that anyone may want a comment from, gets hidden as the "football" forum is the main one and the most viewed.

The issue is, what is one's fun can be another person's "load of old rubbish". Unfortunately, as moderator, tiresome as some of the so called quoting of crowd stats can be (I am well aware that I have quoted some), it's a fact of life. They are not offensive and therefore will remain...All I can advise is scan the link and read what you want. I'm sure that there are articles in a newspaper that are not read for the same reason and can see no reason why people cannot do the same with this forum.

I dare say, there are those that will disagree. Please refer to points 1) 3) & 5).

for what its worth, i thought Blewitt was lucky to get a yellow. He was late, studs up and it looked very messy.

I was down the end near where the tackle took place, and yes it was a heavy challenge, however Blewitt did get all of the ball it was a full on committed challenge from a committed player.

I take it Blewitt was DEFINATELY booked then?

I don't think Blewitt did get booked actually. Think Heffer may have collected his 35th yellow of the season just b4 but I dont recall the "ref" carding Blewitt. From where I was standing it looked a bad challenge.
