Secondly (and apologies for the non-football nature of this), how can a self respecting club welcome one of those buyadvdmate chinamen into their bar? This is not the harmless saving of a few quid on a dvd, but making money that goes on terrorism, drug dealing and people traffiking. The Leyton coach and commitee members who bought dvds should also be ashamed. Rant over!

Quite worrying that they allowed that to take place...We saw it last season and it was distrubing but to know that nothing has been done about it, even more so.

I think the result was a fair one. We never imposed ourselves on this game, and once again we let the opposition play the game to suit their style rather than our own. I think what summed our day up was the free kick we got in injury time. We had them on the back foot, had one last chance to cause them probs and we kicked the ball over everyone for a goal kick.

Their two forwards gave Heffs and Blewitt a torrid time, hence the number of free kicks we conceeded. The number 9 was superb for them and when Nathan goes he is the type of player that would be superb for us.

Dont know what the all the fuss is about re the pitch. apart from the touchlines the pitch was wet but looked pretty flat with a few less bobbles than our own.

Wasnt expecting to lose this one, but we cannot have any complaints.

Well Coruch played for Dulwich Hamlet years ago and Pearce played for another NL club...

I would agree. It's a good coaching ground for young players who wish to make football their career...I think more players should be given a chance further up the leagues but unfortunately, our so called "big" English clubs wish to spend on over seas players...which turns me off from watching them even more

No. Only me that's mentioned it so I must be wrong! I'd put our poor passing down to it, and also thought Whelps wasn't able to "run em ragged" down the right because of it.

But perhaps, as Ryan says, we were just crap.

Agree with all the comments about the game and think that the behaviour of the Leyton players and coaching staff took the edge off a derserved victory. One player who derserves a nention and my Man of the Match is Jamie Dormer, he was everywhere and deserved his goal.

I said in the pre-match discussion thread that if we didn't produce the work-rate and commitment that we did against AFCW and Tonbridge then we would struggle. Believe me I don't like being proven right on this...

We played ok in the final half hour, and if Rikki hadn't been a little unfortunate with a bobble when through we may have drawn level at 2-2. The second Leyton goal was a cracker, worthy of any game at any level, but we were also punished for conceding too many free kicks around the area. Our passing was generally sloppy, and the service to the front two was poor, in the first half in particular.

The important thing now is that we bounce back, and show the resiliance and mental toughness that we need.

I assume the rumour that TC and JL have heard is the same as the one I heard, and if true then I am delighted for Nathan, he's done us proud there. Also pleased for Rikki yesterday, if Nathan should move on then he looks hungry to take over in the No. 9 shirt.

Now I hope you'll forgive me, but two things pressed the Simon BTFC-rant button yesterday.

Firstly the play-acting of the Leyton right back who did the full on pirouette-and-face-grab after being tackled by Hodgey. Any contact was a) minimal and B) well below the knee so his actions were purely designed to get Lee sent off. He should be ashamed of himself and so should the Leyton coach who condoned it when I vented my spleen at him.

Secondly (and apologies for the non-football nature of this), how can a self respecting club welcome one of those buyadvdmate chinamen into their bar? This is not the harmless saving of a few quid on a dvd, but making money that goes on terrorism, drug dealing and people traffiking.
