Leverstock dropped points again, and Hertford by the sounds of it edged it past Alysbury Vale. Big wins for Harefield, and in form WGC and Oxhey both had wins. Broxbourne lost at home to Colney Heath which is a supprise.

WGC got to borrow 6 Barnet players today, sending 6 of their own first teamers to play in the "stiffs" against our reserves!

Yea Rak, It was a great result, Coming back from a goal down, and having a man sent off it was a really great achievement! Poor First half, Haringay just couldnt finish, i dont know what Ged Searson said to the players at half time but it worked and they exploded and scoring 2 goals in a what seemed like a minute! Great match to watch!

...

How come? why would they play thier first teamers in a reserve game? and were the Barnet players reserves? are they allowed to do that?

WGC apparently have an "arrangement" with Barnet, and the players would be dual registered - can only apply to non-contract palyers registered with two different leagues. must have been 6 p*ssed off reserve players at the end of the process!

Attendance at KLT yesterday was 72!!!

Were you there to witness this KTFCSC?

Kinsbury got 72?!!!!!!!!!!1

Surely some mistake there? if so how come?

Kingsburys crowds rarely get over 40 and I doubt Oxhey took many to Kingsbury

Fantastic result for us at Crawley Green, especially as we come from 2 down. So thats a win and a draw in the last few weeks against our bogey side who are flying high at the top of the league.

In the Premier it looks like no stopping Edgware, and whilst I have a soft spot for them because of there resident fanatic Gavin on here Im hoping for a Ruislip Manor win Monday. First and foremost for Lato, Spidermanor and Manorborn 100 but also because I think the league needs Edgware to start faultering or else it could become a one horse race!

Here is a little snippit from this weeks Beds on Sunday:

Leighton Town 0 Stourbridge 2

TOWN remain at the foot of Spartan South Midlands Division Two with this defeat and a performance which lacked creativity and muscle.

Stourbridge broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time when Mark Bellingham netted from close range following a neat turn.

A second goal, one minute after the restart, knocked the stuffing out of Leighton.

They failed to deal with a Stourbridge goal-kick that bounced unchallenged on Town’s 18 yard line for Ryan Mahon to collect and slot home.

Town battled on but lacked punch.

Their newly signed striker from Barton Rovers, Adam Cunnington, was out through suspension. The closest they came to retaliating was with two shots that struck the bar from other new signings Ben Gallant and Bilal Hassan.

Crawley Green 2 The 61FC 2

THE 61’s Richard Everett grabbed a brace but the draw was a fair result in this local derby.

Crawley Green took the lead after 15 minutes through Craig Meyrik who made it third time lucky having wasted two other one on one chances.

Andrew Bar doubled Green’s lead on 35 minutes with an effort that he toe-poked in from close range.

A lively 61 came out for the second half and Everett began the fight back with the final touch after a spot of pinball in the Crawley box.

The equaliser came ten minutes from time when another goal mouth scramble fell to Everett to slot home.

That isn't the first time the paper has referred to Leighton Town being in the SSML, even if they have got them in the correct league in the results section.

For those who don't know The 61 FC's Richard Everitt is the manager and played for the Club in the 60's and 70's, no doubt someone at the Club was taking the preverbial when the paper rang up for a report though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

One last thing, how would you like to play on a pitch like this:

The Beds on Sunday has never been known to print the truth when it could make up a better story!

The pitch is rather similar to the one I had to play on as a junior school kid in Derbyshire!

Is that a REAL pic AWK, if so where is it?

I take your point about if we win tomorrow and open up a 7pt lead with 2 games in hand, there is a danger of the league becoming a one horse race BUT.....I think we will have a bad patch at some stage, either through injures or suspensions or whatever, maybe we will go a few games without a win, who knows.

I think it will be a tough game at Ruislip, but I take either a draw or a win for us.

By the way, good result against Crawely Green
