Slough Town 0-3 Hampton

Was always going to be a difficult match against a side who will be there or thereabouts in the promotion mix at the end of the season.

Started quite brightly, but they took control of the match. Could have been a different game had Miller's shot not somehow been saved by Matt Lovett when the game was 2-0.

Yes it's going to be a struggle between now at the end of the season, but was quite impressed with Abby Nsubuga on his debut and Craig Roberts showed some nice touches as well. I think up-front will be where we will struggle to score though, but hopefully westy can pull 3 to 4 of players out of the bag to help us avoid relegation and the likes of Daly, Saulsbury and Woody will be avaliable to us soon.

For what my thought's are worth...

Hale: Normal self. Puts himself about and battles hard

Nsubuga: Looked quite skilful to me and could be a useful addition

Roberts: (although 2nd game) showed some really good touches, but faded in and out of the game.

P Daly: Played out of position on the right and looked shattered, so lacking match fitness. Therefore had to make a real opinion yet.

Always a tough task against Hampton anyway, but especially with the current problems and adding new players into the mix along with those playing out of position - and a severe lack of matches.

We don't create enough and that's our biggest problem, but we can only hope Westy can bring some new talent in on the cheap. I certainly can't fault the work-rate today though, especially in the second half. Miller was very unlucky to hit Lovett instead of the back of the net, which would have lifted the spirits a little.

To be honest everyone in the team put 100% into it. They kept trying right until the end and the crowd acknowledged it.

IMHO MOM was no 7 Abi Nsubuga. Really put himself about and had some nice touches, especially one at the start of the 2nd half when he set up Miller, I think, who hit a sweet shot which their goalie somehow saved.

Come on you Rebels.

also thought the players gave their all again yesterday...but unfortunately it seems that we cannot attract the type of overall squad that is good enough for this level. it seems the best policy will be to build for next season and accept that relegation is coming.

thought we were unlucky at some points, we couldve had 2 ourselves at 2-0 down, but their keeper got all the luck and we, again, didnt.

up the rebels, heres hoping we get a game on monday!!
