I actually thought the pitch held up quite well today, and was looking in better condition at the end of the match than it was at the start.

Pitch held up really well considering no work was done on it until 1pm when the groundsmen arrived. Was VERY suprised they weren't there a lot earlier considering a pitch is the groundsman's pride and joy.

Apart from the groundsmen turning up at 1pm (guarantee it would have been 10am if it was Windsor's game) did you see what they were using to push the water off the pitch with, someting that resembled a large rake turned upside down!!!

Yes, if it had been a Windsor game then he would have been thhere earlier because someone would have called him earlier.

 

It is not up to Windsor & Eton staff to call him in when it is not a Windsor game, it is down to your officials.

 

You say your not used to dealing with amatuers, well you should be as they have been running your club for the past few seasons (according to the majority of Slough supporters).

you would think that it would be in windsors best interests if the groundsman was down there working on it earlier...whether it was a slough game or a windsor game...everyone knew there was going to be a problem with it, and will be every single matchday for the rest of the winter!

Mal316 rather than dig your self into a hole on this issue, why dont you go and dig a hole at the park end to drain the water away!
