A night of near misses in a match dominated by the home side. Dave Collins hit the bar in the first minute, and then repeated the performance soon afterwards with a thunderous shot. Dave Sadler ran onto an excellent cross from Amos Foyewa to head powerfully home, but was given offside. A hard drive from Adam Parker was tipped over the bar by Grant Haywood, and Redbridge did not manage a single shot on goal in the first half, which was terminated early following a head injury to Billy Crowther. There was an extended interval until the ambulance arrived, by which time Billy had regained consciousness, although extremely dazed.

The delayed second half was much the same pattern as the first period, with Urchins dominating and Rhys Madden did not have one on target shot to save. Amos went close after cutting in from the left and hammering in a shot, which Hayward turned around the post, and from the corner Sadler rose well to head just inches over the bar. The only goal came after some excellent work from Dave Sadler who soloed down the left, turned inside, and pulled the ball back into the path of AINSLEY GASPER who cracked his shot into the net. Luke Stanley, with a hard drive, brought the save of the match from Hayward, who fingertipped the ball over the bar, and Sadler twice volleyed a hard shot narrowly over the bar.
