hard to find the right words to reply to this kind of post...

It wont be the same visiting the Bridge and not seeing you two buzzing around the place...

AFC Hornchurch will miss you both... however do not forget that you both have laid the groundwork for the Urchins to return to the higher echelons of Non League Football...

I will continue to be an Urchins fan, and will continue to monitor their progress up the ladder... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Good luck Unc & Nette for the future, wherever it may lie... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Be safe... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bisou.gif" alt="" />

Takes all sorts to run a successful non-league side and Unc is right in saying 5 years is time enough for change.

If a club can get five skilled and very active committed people to manage its affairs they can be well pleased.

Of course you must not have five clones and there are essential skills the five must carry, one must be severe in demanding money does not go out that is not covered by monies coming in, one must be (very) skilled at gaining sponsors and ensuring the club image is both protected and pushed in publicity terms and of course there has to be the socialising type who wipes all the sweaty brows and keeps the whole thing ticking over and then there is the person who keeps the food-drink-bar staff-bar cleaning peoples etc ticking over.

Throw in the football management team and the ground maintenance team and the five are going to be very busy.

Where the Hornchurch clubs strike it rich is when an UNC is prepared to commit so much time and personal cash etc in covering more than one of those jobs when the going gets tough.

Mind you I simply cannot bring to mind a picture of him committed to the garden?
