Shock horror!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I wonder if Curbs will keep Keith Peacock on the staff. They were together for a long time at Charlton.

Kevin Keen will be gutted, I bet he was hoping to be in charge of the Man Utd game Sunday!

Too Slow!

Peacock achieved his footnote in football history by replacing injured keeper Mike Rose after 11 minutes of Charlton's match at Bolton. However, Peacock didn't go in goal!!!

The key word in that sentence is "injured". During the first two seasons (1965-66, 1966-67) that the law was introduced, a substitute - and only one was allowed in those days - could only come on for an injured player.

However, that changed at the start of the 1967-68 season, to allow substitutions to be made for tactical reasons.

So now ya know!!!!
