Loco Fan and Sean having the courage they usually disply behind they keyboard!!!

eh? and how would you display courage on a MB otherwise then Gazza? Come over and smack you on the nose?(not my style) eh....have a drink with you on the 30th and discuss one to one about what a big club is (more likely)??

Ya see, we don't have to "lie" to make our club appear something that it is not, like yourselves...

Again a comment accusing another club of lying is a silly comment......

Come on Gazza...at least I stay with the arguement on the board, not make silly comments and run away........the comment above was unness IMO

Excuse me? I certainly didn't know that "attendance" on the board was being logged? Is the Spoppy Box a bit like school now? That we have to ask to leave? You may have all the time in the World to sit on forums, I don't.

I like the way, you find it so easy to be a critic of others yet fail to see your own failings...Ahhhh well...Looks like another week of trying to converse with the "high and mighty"...

Try "inflate" instead of "lie"...it's all in the inverted comma's....

Love to know what the unedited version was....

Without doubt our most pleasing win of the season for me. My reasons for this was simply that it was a real TEAM effort. Everyone of the players who was in the squad looked like they wanted it. For the first time we have (imo) won a game by halftime. That is what can happen if we play that sort of high tempo attacking play. Far far better than having to play catch up in the second half. It was also notable the defence did not let the dons trouble Billy, so he could have a reasonably quiet first game back after injury. The midfield worked their socks off and in Hodges and Whelps we really do have creativity from both flanks. But if there was a man of match mine would have gone to Kerrers. Always there, always reliable and he at one stage nearly opened his account for us with a quality defenders drive Well done Danny and well done to ALL the squad for that performance. But, as has been said, it is no good back slapping yet because we have another game Tuesday, where again the squad will be needed to be at their best again. But, play like that lads and you wont go far wrong !

I think that a lot of clubs are struggling with crowd levels , TBH I was very surprised that we had over 700 on Saturday , but we have not put any additional support on , maybe that will change towards the end of the season,AFC appear to have suffered a big fall both home & away.

All this crowd talk is wasteful, when on the pitch is what really matters. Only need to look at Colchester in the pro game to see that!

And on our pitch on Saturday we witnessed a great game of football, but just as importantly a bunch of players who are growing in confidence.

Of course stating the bloody obvious is a talent of mine...much like sarcasm apparently is yours...

Me? Sarky? - think you must be confusing me with someone else. Just trying to introduce a little bit of humour to an otherwise boring Monday morning. Weather great up here in Jockland BTW - clear blue skies (but bloody cold).

Not needed BC. We're pretty up-beat this morning in our little market town on the outskirts of Basildon

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought Kerrers was outstanding Saturday. As has been said, a complete team performance but DK worked some great moves with Hodgie down the left and was solid in his defensive role.

Can't stop playing the goal videos's! Well done to the Dons for taking the time and trouble. Take a look BC. You'll enjoy them I'm sure (& what happened to your Worthing post on the soppybox praising Nathan & Ibe as the best strikers in the league? Too much for the Peoples Republic of Melbourne to stomache )

Yes - have watched the video's - good stuff (and they'll avoid the necessity for Jeff and Glen to visit New Lodge to "case" your lads between now and the 30th).
Yes - the snippers appear to have been utilised by our (sometimes) over active Gestapo - whoops sorry, moderators. Thought the posting was pretty innocuous myself, but obviously the moderators have chosen to put a Gerry Adams type gag on anything eminating from Mr Foster. Shame really, because much of what he has to say is OK.

i cant believe there is so much talk on here about the crowd and anything to do with chelmsford. We have just stuffed one of our rivals that are gunning for a playoff place and people talk about the crowd!!

I agree that Kerrers had a great game but like Ryan I think Heffer was superb. Infact, you would be hard pushed to find a player that didnt play well. I thought one thing was clear in the second half - Dorms in not as effective out on the laft wing as he is in the centre. Not a great surprise but he had a great first half but was much quieter when moved over.

I agree that Whelps is getting better and better.

Great win, best i have seen us play in a long long time. I think I heard a don's fan say that they have only won in essex once.

On to tuesday!!

I echo all of the above comments on the performance, but I also would like to add that although neither Nathan or Joe scored, I thought they were excellent and really look like they are forming a 'partnership' up front. They were a menace to the wombles defence all afternoon and I wholeheartedly agree with the 'defend from the front' attitude displayed on Saturday.

More of the same please!
