Here's someone REALLY famous

Well I was just going by your earlier post when I asked whether you will be all dressed up with nowhere to go on 23 December with a piece of mistle toe in your hand, you replied no so I automatically assumed that meant that she is now coming to the game.

Well do you know that for sure, I believe he has a property very close to Hertingfordbury Park and may have just fancied taking in a match on a Saturday afternoon as he was at a loose end, Horace said that he didn't even wait for Pablo to get changed after the game and left straight away so how can you be sure he came especially to see him play.

Oh ok, I never knew his son played for Hertford, though I do remember the name, I think he was on the team sheet against us. Is he a first team regular, and is he any good? obvioulsy not as good as his old man <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

He is a regular, and is certainly better than his dad is now!

Horace - I wouldn't necessarily agree with that comment as it happens.

Of course you wouldn't. My comment as based purely on the fact that Ossie is now 54.

Yes but I'm sure he could still put in a performance to match his son as he must still be very much in shape from his Coaching jobs, don't forget he played at the very highest level of the World stage like someone else I regularly mention on here who has stayed super fit. By the way I thought you had already met Paula's dog, I assume you have met Paula or was that why you were like a cat on a hot tin roof when Potters Par Town met her at Hornchurch the other week.

It was you who was getting all upset about Paula meeting PBT - just check the record on these threads! Although I have no doubt that Ossie, a REAL world star, won't have lost his skills, at 54 you just can't compete physically with 20 odd year olds!

Spot on Horace, I had the privilage of playing in a charity game a few years back where Ossie, Chris Hughton, Tony Galvin, Graeham Roberts, Chivers etc were playing. Although you could see the difference in class we won the game quite easily due to the fact our average age was probably half of theirs!

I got nicely cut in half in a tackle by one of the Allens.. Paul or Martin, can't remember which one!

NeutralFan - A fascinating post and it must have been a great experience for you but didn't Ossie still float like a butterfly and sting like a bee as was the case with those balls through an eye of a needle for Kempes to run onto in Argentina '78, we're talking about one of the World's greatest ever players.
