Final Score Maldon Town Nil Enfield Town 2. Goals from Ricci Crace and I hear, a truly stonking goal from Rudi Hall.

 

Well done lads a welcome 3 points.

Best part of the first half.

 

Jim Cantle putting his foot down a drain and getting soaked! Sorry, that wasn't the best part. It was when Lynne burst out laughing. To then see them both try to climb the wet grassed banking gave us all a laugh and then, wouldn't you believe it, Jim left Lynne at the top!

 

Oh, and one for the second half.

 

Someone nearly fell over a 9 1/2 stone dog!

 

Good 3 points as well.

I also thought that Steve was MOM and his linking with Mat Negus was partcularly good.

 

Before Rudi's goal my father and I both agreed it was within shooting range and were expecting an attempt. The goal was a clear Rudi classic.

 

The whole team performed well except for a brief period in the second half when Maldon brought on fresh legs. I thought that the superior fitness of the towners shone through yesterday and it allayed many of my worries with regard to their training regime.

 

Well done Jim and the lads.

 

No VERY well done.

 

And those fair weather fans you missed a stupendou display - probably the best display of the season.
