Benno - Man of the Match !

Does anyone else agree, Saturday saw Benno play a blinder! He was my man of the match. I agree Boylan was superb, didn't really put a foot wrong, but so many times Benno showed some great skill and touch. He has had some really good games recently ... long may it continue.

i agree with benno being man of the match, it makes u wonder whether lee protheroe will be able to get back in the team and parms.another thing is i think 5 to 6 weeks ago we would have drawn that game.

I was delighted at the way we defended on Saturday, we looked in control. Ashley played well, and Wardy really looked confident. Nice to see the backing off tactic was not put into practise.

It would have been nice to give the ducks a good roasting, but 2-1 or 6-1, it still means 3 points. Benno did play well, but did also make mistakes (his passing was suspect at times). I don't think that Protheroe will have trouble getting in the team, but Benno certainly has shown that he is a MIDFIELDER, and not a defender. It would be impossible to forget about him, and he must be making some of the 'regulars' look over their shoulders.

Boylan is a quality goal scorer, his poaching ability just as dangerous as his dribbling to goal. Gregory looked tired, but he doesn't have to play brilliantly to make himself a threat. Overall, I thought it was a really good performance, and if we can crank it up one more notch I reckon Northwich will wish they'd pulled out of the Trophy altogether!!!

Their GK was outstanding and held the score to 2-1 when 4 or 5-1 could easily have been the final outcome

For me Jeff M has been the seasons outstanding player but on Saturday apart from odd touches he only really came to life only after we scored our first

Aylesbury are the type of side that make it difficult to get the ball down and play but we looked tighter and moved better as a team

Just read that aylesbury were 10 games un beaten B4 saturday, in which case a good result whatever the score.
