Rhodes whats the possibility of you finding a permenant home ground next year? because it seems to me that unless one is found AND SOON, all the miracles keeping your club afloat will stand for nothing if you cannnot be promoted due to lack of ground!

Well as I've said on here on a number of occasions, mainly to Potters Bar Town, top secret negotiations are at a delicate stage and I am not in a position to divulge any information at this stage. I will say that Ashburton Grove is not out of the reckoning yet and you will be the first to hear on here once it has all been finalised. Thanks for your interest anyway, it is appreciated.

InformationZone2 - Thanks for that insight, as I say you will be the first to hear when any news breaks, that's if the Islington Gazzette don't beat me to it as their sports editor has his finger on the pulse and is hugely interested in our affairs. We're all over the Gazette and Camden Journal like a rash again today although what's new.

Search for Kentish Town on the Islington Gazette website and these are the top four hits....

This is the only article I could find about the football club...

Don't let them blow full time on soccer club

15 November 2006

I AM writing concerning the plight of our local football club, Kentish Town FC.

Still to date, the local politicians have shown little concern for our plight, despite the benefit that the club has had on the local community.

It has tried to keep the kids off the streets, giving them the opportunities to express themselves in a positive way, trying to take them away from Camden's drug and knife culture.

If the club did not find a permanent home and were to fold, the whole community would be adversely affected.

It would have to stop supporting the local youth club that runs on a Friday evening in Our Lady Help of Christians Church.

The club provides it with coaches on a weekly basis and is an example of just one of our projects.

Many people in Kentish Town ward, and throughout Camden, are concerned about drugs, crime and street gangs.

As the borough's only semi-professional team, Kentish Town FC is in a unique position to provide an alternative, positive opportunity and create good local role models.

However, this is at risk if a permanent ground for the club cannot be found.

At present many of Camden's children/teenagers and adults are benefiting from the club's programmes, as have the many that have been involved with the club since 1994.

It is time for local councillors to activily support our search for a permanent ground.

No doubt they will be quick to claim the benefits to the community that we continue to deliver in increasingly difficult conditions.

- Frank Zanre, concerned Camden resident and Kentish Town FC manager, NW5.

Good so far, started on the bike yesterday and not too much of a reaction today. I should be stepping up the exercises in the next few weeks, the muscle wastage is scary!!

NeutralFan - Did you get your copy today or was your corner shop sold out again, there is a huge banner headline on our winning goal scorer on Saturday Thomas Looney side by side with coverage of our illustrious neighbours game with Tottenham, what does that tell you.
