Impressive site the Herts FA one is, its got a good name in county circles.

Hertford have done very well so far but there does look a big jump in (for want of a better word) sizes of the teams involved. How well do you normally do in the competition?

The Herts site is good - I much prefer it to those who model their site on The FA one.

Last year we beat Cheshunt in the 1st round and lost to Leverstock Green in the 2nd. The year before we beat Ware & Harpenden before losing to St Albans in the quarter finals.

I don't remember us ever getting drawn against Watford, I'll do some reseach and see when we last played Barnet or Stevenage.

We won it in 1966/67 and 1989/90

Had they eaten all the battenburg and custard creams???

No battenburg tonight! And only 2 custard creams in the Fox's Assortment.

No Battenburg???? What is the world coming too???

Glad I didnt come. Mind you could have had a fight over the custard creams.

Is it Horace who does the shopping??? It just aint good enough.

I wish ya luck for the next round. If you get Stevenage just might have to come along (only to see their goalie, sorry Horace )

It's me who shops. I fancied a change from battenburg.

I promise to get battenburg in if you come to our next round tie (as long as it's at home).

There WAS something similar to battenburg though!

Yes credit where its due, not only does it look professional but it is very up to date, just a shame it always has the moose on there to put me off (sorry Spidermanor, couldn't resist ).

Just been looking at the Trophy draw, and Im a bit surprised at Rhodes, I would have said that if Kentish Town are as good as he says then it would have been very winable, and it wouldn't really be a huge distraction as their are only 4 matches (including the final) for them to negotiate. I know that I would love The 61 FC to win the Beds version.

Back to the Senior Cup, I assume Watford and Barnet play reserve sides while Stevenage and St Albans put out weaker sides. Still though I would imagine they would fancy their chances of getting to the latter stages/winning it. Looks a tough match for you whoever you draw but then you have done well so far so hopefully you will continue to do so, good luck

There was a substitute cake for the battenburg, similar style - HTFCew will confirm what it was.

does anyone know whether Potters Bar Town was lynched or do we have to wait until about 10.30 to find out when the Hertford Town lot come on.

Sorry I didn't get to taste the cake but the burgers were excellent after the ones I've been suffering at St Mags recently!!

Was catching up with a lot of people I haven't seen for a while.

Not a bad game with plenty of chances, PB probably over playing on a surface not really designed for it... did you have the plough out Horace?

I thought I got home quite quickly, considering that I was having a long old chat with Horace in the boardroom.

Don't need cheering up particularly (although a little bit of TLC always helps! ). Just one of those nights, really. We have a few players that have a bit of an attitude problem towards games like this, but it's an attitude that won't be tolerated for long.

I think I'd agree with that, NF. Hertford's main tactic was the long ball over the top. Not a bad choice of tactic on that surface, particularly with speed up front, but not one that should outfox a Ryman League side for the best part of 90 minutes as it did tonight! Our approach play wasn't bad at times, but lacked a killer touch in the final third. The pitch was bumpy, as expected, but, in fairness, was a lot better than the Redbridge pitch we played on last Saturday.

Don't need a psychologist, Paula. But there may be some movement between Kentish Town and Potters Bar soon.

I think Watford probably had a youth team out tonight, shame, I've never been to their ground.

When we played St Albans it was a weakened first team I think.

Your killer touch was sitting next to me in the stand 'working'!

First goal was excellent, Cantona esque?!

Your high line against the pace of Redford wasn't really the best idea! PB second came when after looking fairly comfortable at the back Hertford bench told the defence to start pushing up and PB did a Hertford and just helped it on over the top into the gap...
