Leverstock and Hertford....

I thought that WGC might get a result over in consistent Hertford, and that BB could get somethign at leverstock.

 

I truly think I saw the best two teams in the SSML this afternoon, and would not be supprised if they both finnish in the top two, with us top of course <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

Harefield HAD to win this afternoon, a draw is a good result for us, a point gained rather then two lost, with the resutls today

It's all going your way Gavin - I am now reconciled to the view that we are in a group with the likes of Welwyn Garden City, Broxbourne Borough London Colney and Oxhey Jets, and that fourth place is the best we can hope for. We were poor yesterday. For the first time a team stopped the deadly duo from scoring in a league match, and despite an heroic pen save from HTFC One as early as the 9th minute, we never got on top of WGC at all. They even played with 10 men for most of the second half. Think we wasted our £176.50 on the ground grading fee!

Wat a game yesterday!
One of the best games i have been involved in, in a long while!
We were so much better then them it was unreal, couldnt believe they are sitting second in the league, for the majority of the game we outpassed them and out batted them!
I gave them a pre warning in the first half, about 30 yards out i spanked one that hit the top of the bar!
I couldnt believe they gave me so much space in the second half coz i travelled with the ball for about 10 yards before i hit one of the sweetest strikes i have ever hit b4 from about 35 yards, the keeper didnt even move, and of course it was with the left foot Horace!!
Kearny's winner was a great strike too, with his weaker left foot aswell!
On our day we can beat all the top 4 sides, it is against so called lesser sides that we drop stupid points, if we can fix that in the second half of the season, we can get into the top 4 im sure of it!

oh dear...say no more. On a par with Mr John Steel of Cambridgeshire who incomprehensibly postponed Hendon v Slough at 2.40pm despite inspecting the pitch at 1.30 and telling a Hendon official to go and get some more sand for the tiny affected part of the ground then not seeing the effects!! At least Mr Tweed will start the game though I bet you all wish he hadn't!

He was certainly the centre of attention throughout the first half! Had a better second half, but that wasn't difficult.

What are you talking about, Rhodes? I have informed Horace that he should notice the difference between the referee he saw yesterday and the one he will be seeing on Tuesday and, from that, you have come up with the absurd conclusion that I am not going to the game. Weird!
