THE SPARTAN PREM - A non-Rhodes Post

I saw my first Spartan Prem game for a good few months on Saturday, and would like the general view of the people who see the games week in week out.

 

This post is just about the Premier Division - no mention of Div 1 or 2. (That can be for another post) Just about the Prem teams, and how the season has gone so far, who will be the teams at the top, any late dark horses and who will be in the dog fight at the end of the season, who is improving and who is under achieving?

 

Rhodes please do not ruin this post with your views.

 

So who will be in the top 3 at the end of the season? Who can get a good run going and slip into the promotion places?

I believe the top 3 at the moment will fight it out for the top 3 places....I would go as far as saying that if you finish above Edgware you will win the league....Although I still think us (Hertford) and Leverstock can still give them a massive run for their money !

We had a guess at this at the start of the season.

 

From what I've seen and also heard I think Edgware will win it.

 

Hertford will be there or there abouts but could also get themselves in the running if they strengthen centrally, midfield and defence.

 

Leverstock are strong and from what I hear Harefield are a good side as well.

 

BBV&E haven't got the consistency to put a decent run together but do have a talented side that will cause upsets along the way.

 

So ...

 

1. Edgware

2. Hertford

3. Harefield / Leverstock

I think that Edgware will be champs. The next three positions will be between Hertford, Leverstock Green and Harefield United. At the bottom, Biggleswade Town are in real trouble and Haringey, Biggleswade United, Holmer Green and Royston all have reason to fear relegation with them.

Used to be! That was actually an objective opinioned post and in no way meant what you're implying!! I'm still having trouble with stairs let along tricky forwards.....

Edgware has some experienced players as do Harefield they are other good teams who can push them but Feb time will tell us who is in the running as with most leagues

Chalfont St. Peter are the one side I know little about. What are people's opinions on them?

chalfont were a very good footballing side last yr but not seen them this yr

How is the rehab going?

Not too bad, will be starting in the gym next week (much needed!!) with some light bike work and swimming / water resistence stuff.. amount of muscle wastage is incredible!
