waltham abbey are better then you give them credit for mate and they dont have a budget like others. burnham would have been pushing play offs if they had gone up as they can get a serious budget together.

I don't think cash is the answer to success, not in the long term anyway.

That requires a decent fan base. It's no coincidence that AFC Hornchurch, Canvey, AFC Sudbury & Enfield Town will all eventually be in the mix at the end of the season.

That's why of all the ESL clubs, Romford have the best chance of sustainable success. Brentwood may get promotion, or come very close, but they are unlikely to aspire to their ambitions. Same applies to the Rambos, again due to the lack of regular 100+ fans......IMO!

Makes you wonder why he picked Brentwood? Was he in association with friends over there?

If you are going to put money into a non-league club, then surely you do your groundwork and work on the ethos that with the input of money resulting in a league-winning side, the locals will come...

Err obviously not. I thought they have Amin Levitt as 'Director of all things bright and beautiful' over there?

I would still use the A12 to get to Brentwood from Burnham...

To get there, I have to go through all the country roads, and over-take all the tractors and farmyard animals! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Not an Amin fan then? I don't really get it with him, I think is only a Level 1 coach, and is probably most well known for being Colin Reid's mate.

A likeable enough bloke though and I always chat with him when we meet.
