Tonight's KSC match

I didn't actually think we'd lose even when we were 4-0 down. We made it 4-3 and I think the lads thought they'd be able to get another to equalise. It's a shame we're out of another tournament but it's only the Kent Cup, and I agree with Daish's decision to put the reserves on, can't risk any of the decent players on such an unimportant match. Bring on the Kiddi

Realy odd match. We went 4 down after 20 mins as they scored with each attack they made. Then we played some decent stuff and looked the better side to get it to 4 - 2 at h/t. Then another one back in the second half and a couple of chances for it to be 4 - 4 before letting in another 3 in the last 5 mins. Given that we only had a scattering of first team squad on the pitch and only really Danny Ekoku likely to be remotely in contention for Sat along with De Bolla who only played a half it was not too bad apart from the awol defence for 25 mins of the game.

The best bit of the evening was the food. How can they produce tasty cheap food (ie bacon n cheese quarter pounder for £2.90 and chips that were actually hot and not all swimming in fat for £1.20) when we have to endure the expensive tat we get at home matches?

Perhaps we should enter the transfer market and make a bid for their catering operation??!!

Such tactics don't always result in a first-stage exit though, as we know from last season. Granted, last night's performance was pretty shoddy overall (mainly caused by the fact that by far the least experienced department of our team was out defence), but it's not really true to say we don't 'bother' with it.

I can't really see how Ekoku is any more up the pecking order for the first team than, say, Purcell and Coleman, who were also playing last night.

It depends how you look at it I suppose. After all, if you had to select two strikers out of the three we have available, it's pretty obvious on current form and/or records this season which two you'd pick.

Its a rubbish cup, where you risk injury to decent players, if you attempt to win it, better off out of it, let the likes of welling win it as sees its such a big for thing to them
