Saw him play in goal for us in 1976. Boy he was bad he had a real howler. Dropped the ball so many times which was a real surprize cos of his excellent slip record. We lost to Dunstable 5-2.

Graham also played for us for most of a season when the great Dave Huddart had a serious injury. I seem to remember he played very well for us and he also played for a number of non-league teams in the London area.

 

Oddly, he lived in Yorkshire for much of his post-retirement life, not sure why, and did work as an after-dinner speaker.

 

Very sorry to hear he has passed away.

There was a good obituary write up in the English version of the Daily Telegraph which remarked on his football career in goal with Corinthian Casuals, Wimbledon, Kingstonian and Woking!

 

There was no mention of him ever playing for us however!

 

I would demand an apology of the paper but no doubt that would come back saying that they were ever so Surry!
