Harpenden have never had a good pitch, the same as Hanwell Town always have had a great pitch, some clubs dont have the finance or sometimes the permission to do something to the playing surface. All teams need to adjust during different times of the year and it is up to the coach and management teams to ensure players are ready for the challenges

Well those are the lengths teams appear to be going to now in order to combat our unique style of play, I guess it's the only way they feel they can stop us and we seem to have become victims of our own success.

I dont think teams ruin their own pitch to combat a team to achieve 1 or 3 points, the cost of ruining your own pitch is one thing and im sure the groundsmen in question would not approve of this either. Victims of your own success???

There is no success yet, no ground, no trophies, no big money transfers, manager who has no honours managing at senior level and a coach who has achieved nothing (only when playing donkey's years ago)

You prat! They don't even know what your style of play is, unless they've already played you! You are utterly deluded!

Horace - I know for a fact that teams have had us watched, 'the mighty' Brimsdown Rovers did prior to the legendary 2-2 draw at their place, although to be fair we also had them watched by a former Enfield based Coach when the so called Don Revie style dossier of War and Peace proportions was produced.

Rhodes, as a general rule of thumb, what do you expect the standard of the "average" SSML Div 1 pitch to be? Remember when answering that Kentish Town don't actually play home games on an SSML Div 1 pitch so we are only talking about the type of pitch you would expect to find at an away game.

Potters Bar Town - Well I think we were probably spoilt early on in the season when we played at Wembley FC, Wingate and Finchley, Biggleswade United and Sun Postal Sports, the latter being one of the better Division 1 pitches. Obviously the games we have played at Hendon have suited our Brazil '70 style as was the case at Ampthill Town, Brimsdown Rovers and Arlesey Athletic however the Harpenden Town and Brache Sparta pitches were cow patches and Cockfosters left a lot to be desired too coupled with their tight pitch which they use well to their advantage. We will see what happens at New Bradwell St Peter on Saturday who have a decent surface.
