The new Haringey Borough FC thread

Rhodes has told this tale many times (like all of his tales)- I think it was the reserves at St Margaretsbury.

I don't believe you when you say that you have never heard of this sorry episode before particularly as Horace helpfully points out I have touched on it on a number of occasions on here. Sam Hall was First Team Manager at the time and Jose Fernandez was Reserve Team supremo with 'the great one' the Coach, Sam actually played in the Reserve game at St Margaretsbury as, yes you've guessed it, the First Team's game at Coles Park, also coincidentally against St Margaretsbury, was called off that day. It was probably the worst spectacle I have ever witnessed at a football match and I have seen a few in my time, that's why I cannot for the life of me understand how you can say that 'Sugar' is a football man and defend him as if he is your own flesh and blood.

So let me get the story straight Clement was Coach - and the team was such a shambles that the chairman was needed to step in using his excellent motivational skills to ask an injured man to help the team out? what was the outcome of the game rhodes?

Rhodes yet again you have succeeded in painting Clement in bad light and the man you call "sugar" shines again! Rhodes you where asking Horace if he has ever told a manager what to do - let me ask you this Rhodes:

was it not you who earlier in the season said you have a hand in picking the first team? Has anyone else ever heard of a secertary picking teams?

the Rhodes Circus is coming to a town near you: lock up your Sons!!!

It's a crying shame that Football Man doesn't do a quote of the month for you as this crazy statement would walk it. Do you call asking a badly injured player to help the team out motivational, I think you have been watching the film Bridge on the River Kwai too many times.

What was the injury? I'd like an answer from both Rhodes and 3Praise please....

Put it this way, I saw Nigel Brown a couple of weeks ago in Wood Green and he was still limping, if he had gone back on the field of play as 'Sugar' wanted, albeit in goal, he could have possibly been a cripple for life. This is a Club Chairman who is supposed to have the best interests of his players at heart, what does that tell you.

Is this the same Harringay that would not even make eye contact, with Kentish Town representatives at the last SSML AGM. Really sad to see, when trying to make eye contact, thye dropped their stare in shame. I hope that when they come to Kentish Town that they hold their heads up high or otherwise they will walk into the walls.

3praise - As you are so observant I posted the above on 19 June yet just three days later the thread is on an incredible 59,100 views, what do you put that down to, surely it can't be just John Bacon logging on every minute to check if I have posted so as to report back to 'Sugar'.

Rhodes im sorry but i do not follow your slogan of "all publicity albeit good or bad is good publicity" i really do wonder what impression people would have of Haringey Borough if you was allowed to spit the hatred and stupidity you do on here without being rebuked by people like football man and myself!

3praise - This is another of your all time classics and I may well start a quote of the month competition for you myself. I think the good people on here know perfectly well what is happening behind the gates of heaven without me having to enlighten them, the Club is being systematically ruined by one man and he needs to step down as Chairman before anymore damage is done, it doesn't exactly take Einstein to work that one out.

3praise - I have only just picked up on this post by my associate Tiger007 and have to say that I was absolutely horrified when I read it. I wasn't in attendance at the AGM as you know but surely it can't be true that the Haringey delegation acted in this fashion, can you confirm that it is true.

Football Man and 3praise are becoming somewhat of a double act on here, Ant and Dec style, similar to how Potters Bar Town and Lato used to be a while back. Tiger007 wouldn't say that if it wasn't true and anyway the Haringey Secretary isn't a people person, whether he is simply shy I don't know but he wouldn't go up to someone to shake their hand, press their flesh or make small talk in corners, Cockfosters style, as it's not in his nature. 'Sugar' on the other hand had every opportunity to approach our delegation at the AGM and shake their hand however he chose not to, indeed it would appear that he avoided eye contact altogether which is cowardly in the extreme.

Why would he make a special effort for Kentish Town out of 60 odd clubs present in the room, and while the meeting was taking place? (as mentioned earlier, and pounced upon by yourself, Aki was late turning up). He didn't make eye contact with me either, when I spotted him standing in the doorway, but I wasn't upset!

As has been pointed out by Horace he arrived late and the AGM had already started, I believe our delegation would have happily approached him with their right arms outstretched had he been there at the start of the meeting. The same applies to after the meeting when apparently he rushed off like a scalded cat, I'm also surprised that he didn't make the most of the opportunity to confront one of our Directors about me posting on here if he is so bothered as to write to the SSML, that was his chance.

Aki is a fair man and knows that you are an individual and he has no problem with KTFC which is why he never went to the representatives and spoke about it - he dealt with you as its your opinions and not that of the club that he and most on this forum have a problem with.

also if he never spoke to anyother club/chairman why should he make a beeline for KTFC? you may think they are the man u of non league foootball but not everyone is as deluded!
