3praise
Football man you hit the nail bang on the head (as i wish i could do to Rhodes every now and then) The people that came in didnt want the club they wanted the land - so much land in the heart of Haringey would sell millions of Flats etc and thats all he was after - When "suger" see this he sent him packing (like any good Chairman would) But Rhodes being as transparent as usual couldnt read between the lines and was all for Haringey to be sold off to potential flat builders! I haven't touched on this before but it's 'Sugar' who has his eye on the value of the land which is why he wouldn't have dreamt of stepping down and relinquishing control of the Club as he knows he's sitting on a goldmine. The consortium weren't thinking along those lines at all and just had the interests of the Club at heart with a vision to make Haringey Borough into the monster they should be. 3praise
Rhodes - If thats the case how comes he hasnt sold up now Haringey have got relegated? there was many a game last season when "sugar" was seen behind the goal we was scoring into jumping up and down egging on every player to get goals!! i wonder how many chairman would do that - especially one you say has no football mentality and just wants to sell the land! PB!
I still want to know why Rhodes hasnt got these investors involved at the mighty KTFC, Surely they would jump at the chance to get involved with a world class coach who last season worked hi smagic to get the side to 6th in SSML Div 1?? 3praise
Simple Paulb - they never existed in the first place! and even if they did would they want to back a club with no real history - or potential i mean if they reach only 6th place and thats with a world superstar like Clement running things then how bad would they be if he was to leave!! no investor would want to take that risk!! Don't forget they were the Manchester United of the divison and playing them was everbody's Cup Final!! Perhaps the Rhodes proclaimed 'Great One' was spending too much time helping his coaching buddy Roy Keane get Sunderland into the premiership and neglected duties closer to home - wouldn't be the first time either!! If so you know full well that they existed and I have the e-mails to prove it which were blind copied to me, do you want me to post a selection on here to prove that 'Sugar' would not entertain the valid approach in any way shape or form despite it being in the best interests of the Club. Sugar was obliged to listen to what was on the table and was in breach of League, and possibly FA, rules for not doing so.
3praise
for not listening to some nut - who's only interest was to build low cost flats for high profit. I dont think that was in the best interest of the club!! i am quite surprised that you never remarked on seeing "sugar" standing behind the goal egging his team on - or is that too out of character for the man you are trying to knock down all the time? If you want me to comment on this I will however it was possibly the funniest thing I have read on the Forum since I started posting a year or so ago. I was also at St Margaretsbury for a Reserve game a couple of seasons back when he asked 'the great one' to send back on a badly injured player (Nigel Brown) to play in goal when 'we' had been reduced to ten men, does that sound like someone with a deep knowledge of the beautiful game. Incidentally have you noticed that this thread is up to 51,000 views, you must be revelling in the notoriety that you are gaining for yourself with your bizare comments on here. Rhodes
Horace - 3praise has had every opportunity to answer the post above but let me ask you the same question then as a previous Chairman of your Club, would you instruct your Coach to send a badly injured player back out onto the field of play to go in goal just to make up the numbers.
Horace
I personally would never instruct a coach to do anything. With your track record of misrepresenting the truth though, I remain unconvinced that what you say is an accurate statement of what happened.
