The new Haringey Borough FC thread

Recommended Posts

Paulb - Uncle Urchin doesn't seem to be around to answer your valid question however I'm only saying what a large number of people are thinking because they don't want to make waves, or risk being shown the door in 3praise's case. 'Sugar' took Haringey down end of and he has to shoulder the blame, not the Manager or the players.

So what your trying to say is

The reason you finished a dissapointing mid table last season had nothing to do with your players and so called god like coaches but it was your chairmans fault whistle

Keep this up Rhodsey and you might need to look for another team biglaugh

Maldini66 he has already tried to set up a meeting with representatives from Sporting e Benfica about a new job! i would bet good money Rhodes will not be at KTFC at the end of next season!!

If you had bothered to read my post more carefully you will have noted that it was very much tongue in cheek and I wouldn't join Sport London e Benfica for all the tea in china or for Alex Fergusson's salary. They had better get a move on in finding someone if their SSML membership is rubber stamped tomorrow as at this rate they'll be lucky to find Coles Park and the Copthall Stadium let alone Buckingham Athletic and Cranfield United. As for me still being at Kentish Town at the end of next season why do you say that all of a sudden, do you know something I don't and is 'Sugar' about to finally do the decent thing.

I was hoping to do the decent thing when i saw you tomorrow but it appears as though you won't be there now so i will have to wait until our paths cross during the course of next season.

PS dont expect a reply to your reply or any further replies to any more of the complete and utter [****!!****] that you espouse on this forum

I note that 'Sugar' coming onto post at 5.23pm yesterday, in what was only his third ever post, put a total dampner on the proceedings and there was only minimal activity on here all night after that which is unheard of for a Friday night. What does that tell you about the man and in particular his post which was littered with expletives, I have to say that it is appalling behaviour for a Club Chairman to act in this fashion and also hint at violence and I have forwarded his post to Ian for information as well as to the London Borough of Barnet Police with his address who will, no doubt, wish to get in contact. We may be forced to ban 'Sugar' altogether from the Copthall Stadium next season unless he is prepared to apologise unreservedly for his comments. The SSML hierarchy will also be informed of this development in due course.

Sorry, there must be something wrong with my computer beacause the above "threat of violence" appears to be a firm handshake rather than a kneecapping. Do we have to have an exclusion zone around Rhodes on the 13th just in case someone brushes against him on their way to the bar?

I have never had the luxury of just one fan complaining about me... they do it by the hundreds... grin

we can only but do our best...in my time at Hx we achieved everything we set out to achieve and amassed trophies and promotions like confetti....we increased the gates from 50 to over a 1000 and rebuilt the ground...but tis the way of these things that the fall from grace will be best remembered and discussed....I understand that and also that its never possible to please the fanbase and they will always complain about something but thats normal...its what fans do as their right and I have always understood and respected that....

players are the same...they will whinge and moan and complain about wages and everything else but they can get you the sack real quick and I always understood that also...you have to be ruthless to progress and you have to have ruthless managers...

whoever the haringay chairman is he must be applauded for his unpaid efforts as should all unpaid officials in NL but must also accept the responsibility for failure....thats the name of the game and it won't change and all chairmen/owners should understand that and get on with it...

I will also say that I think that officials of clubs should not indulge in verbal warfare and insults on these forums tho'...rhodes should cease his little rift with the haringay chairman as its boring and no one else is interested at all...

finally...if you wanna be liked... don't run football clubs... grin

I agree UU but I bet 99% of those fans wouldnt have it any other way, the years they spent at the top and enjoying promotions etc and seeing gates increase will be what the majority talk about.

If you were to ask most fans if they would welcome a sugar daddy come in with guaranteed promotions etc and the risk that it may go tits up years down the line, most would go along for the ride.

Uncle Urchin - Point taken and I agree that it must be boring but let me ask you this, if you were Chairman of a struggling Step 5 Club and a high profile consortium put a brief case with 2 million quid in fifty pound notes down on the boardroom table to progress the Club would you step aside.

I don't ever recall hearing the other side of this story, clip Rods.
