PB!
Kinda Ironic how when Rhodes was at Haringey their Youth set up fell apart, now at Kentish Town and there youth set up AFC Claremont seemed to go the same way. Coincidence?????
Rhodes
Paulb - What on earth are you talking about as the Youth set up didn't fall apart at Haringey when I was there, it never even got off the ground as 'Sugar' wasn't interested and pooh poohed everything I tried to set up such as working hand in hand with Spurs. What Chairman of any non league Club, particularly at our level, would turn down a partnership with Spurs who would have ploughed thousands into the initiative, it doesn't make any sense. PB!
I am sure the chairman was doing what was best for the club, and as you seem to be the only person that disagrees with his actions, and the rest agree with him. I would guess he is doing a good job for HBFC.
Rhodes
Paulb - If that's what you really think then fair enough but if you call being totally responsible for getting his Club relegated 'doing a good job for HBFC' then I'm afraid I beg to differ. RH1
Sorry to disagree, but how can any ONE person be responsible for getting a club relegated. Every play, coach, director, etc etc has had some influence over the season. You can't blame one person soley for a clubs relegation, after all, he wasn't the one who took the field of play. Over and out...
Rhodes
Rak - I'm sure Julian will disagree with that statement.
Football Man
Perhaps we could blame any of their supporters who didn't bother to turn up and lend their support at any stage during the season?
Rhodes
Football Man - At the end of the day the Club were relegated and the Chairman is ultimately responsible for that, it could have easily been avoided and he needs to walk away and let someone else, who is better qualified, take control before even more damage is done. PB!
But only you see it this way, noone else. Im sure when UU was chairman if only one person said he was doing a bad job he would be more than happy.
shyboy
i would say the chairman has got one major decision right in getting rid of rhodes.also haringey have struggled for years and it was only a matter of time before relegation occured.

Paulb - You seem like a knowledgable guy but I really don't know how you can say that, the Chairman has overall responsibility of a Club, making the decisions and holding the purse strings, as Shyboy points out the writing was on the wall for a number of seasons prior to relegation yet he failed to turn things around when he had every opportunity to do so. That makes him a failure in my book and he should walk allowing a far more competent Chairman to take control.
3praise
well Rhodes he got rid of you - shows major competence in my book!! With investment on the pitch - which is imminent investment in youth projects - which is occuring the rebuilding of the first team - which is beginning How can you call him incompetent? Rhodes
Okay so why were 'we' relegated then if he is competent, answer me that.
PB!
Forgive me if Im wrong but surely the players and manager should take the bulk of the blame for that???

3praise
its a very good league and if you remember rhodes it was in Haringeys hands to finish possible 4th from bottom going into the last game - which was unfortunatly lost, that is football.
