SSML Premier Division Discussion

Recommended Posts

InformationZone2 - I don't really see the purpose of this thread and why you created it, we have lots of individual threads for such discussion and it seems to me you are trying to exclude certain people, in particular myself, AWK and members from other Club's from Division 1 and Division 2, that's not fair and I suggest you delete the thread with immediate effect. Might I enquire which SSML Club you follow out of interest as I think that will be quite enlightening, I think I can probably guess.

HTFCew - I have to say that I don't agree with that approach either as it still excludes people and you are just playing into InformationZone2's hands, there is an ulterior motive for him starting this thread and he is not being straight forward, afterall what do any of us know about InformationZone 1 and 2 who have mysteriously appeared on the scene out of the blue without disclosing which teams they follow. If we start going down this road then before you know it there will be talk of Auschwitz and gas chambers all over again as that's exactly how that all started off.

Balderdash & piffle.

Having a thread purely for discussion of any one division does not preclude people who don't support clubs in that division from having a view and posting on it.

You yourself set up threads purely for Kentish Town and Haringey Borough. Is it one rule for Rhodes and one for the rest of us?

If that's what you think then fine but lets just wait and see which SSML Club (note singular) the InformationZone pair say they follow, I think you will find that will tell us a thing or two.

Is this interesting? In each of the last 6 seasons, the champions of the Premier Division have averaged between 2.32 nd 2.44 points per game. The only clubs averaging that or better so far are Leverstock Green and Edgware. So, statistically at least, any other club that has a desire to finish top will almost certainly have to up their average somewhat - No other club currently has an average over 2.00

Looks like the champs will get 97 points this season. I hereby concede the title to Leverstock Green or Edgware! Pure conjecture, of course.

Another point. No-one has scored over 100 goals for some time (2002/3 Dunstable Town 98 got 104). Hertford have 58 from 16 games, so only need 42 from 24 games. Will they do it?

I enjoy your dramatic posts Mr Rhodes "Auschwitz" and "Gas Chambers". As mentioned set up your own thread for Division 1 if you want, you seem to think i created this to exclude people that is your imagination. I dont see any rules to say I cannot create a new thread. As regards my team I dont have a team, I will support the club I am involved with at the time, currently I am not at a club due to injury and business involvements.

And for those who ask what will happen if Cooper or Redford are not available, look how many goals our reserves have scored so far - 52.

Possibly HTFC, but reserve team football is not the same at all, we'll only know as and when they get the chance to play first team.

Another offensive post Rhodes, There is no way on this earth you can compare the horrors of the holocaust with a thread on a message board. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Spidermanor - Well that was the exact hard hitting point I was trying to make in order to show InformationZone2 how potentially serious his actions were. Naturally the likes of Lato, Potters Bar Town and yourself are going to milk the statement for all its worth.

Not going to argue with you, you're a disgrace. Please keep to the topic of this thread or don't post at all. Thank you.

Rhodes I have stuck up for you, and not entered any of the arguments against you, wheter or not you noticed I dont care. The remark you make above is the most tasteless I have read on this forum and is OUT OF ORDER.

I still dont think Leverstock will last the pacee. Look what happened to them at home to Kingsbury, they were missing two of their back four and lost 0-2 at home to a side they should on paper have beaten easilly.

One or two injures or suspenisons will see them in trouble. Whereas we had up to five regualar players out and still managed to win and remain unbeaten.

I still think its between us/ Hertford and Harefield if they get thier act in order. I would not be supprised if Leverstock go on a run where they cant buy a win, that run could start tomorrow if Hertford beat them, I think they can.

I also find this offensive considering that many of my fathers relatives in Poland and suffered at the hands of the Nazis during the Second World War. I also don't really understand the point you are trying to make rhodes by referring to Oswiecim (Auschwitz) and gas chambers and suggest you don't make such offensive analogies again.

Lato (and other members) - Perhaps the statement I made to InformationZone2 was a little over the top and apologies if it has caused offence, it wasn't meant to.
