Because we've played so well two games without winning is seen as a dip in form!? Let's remember we've played Hampton, Chesham, Swindon and Bashley recently. All good sides and only lost 1!! What planet are some of you living on!? I personaly think Chenns and Seedel are a great partnership ( perhaps better than craig and scotty!) and with porter getting goals too we really do not need an extra striker once case and ursell are fully fit meaning ports can play more as a striker ( even if it does mean off the subs bench) Simon has some tough choices to make when he has all his players fit but i think it just shows what sqaud depth we've got!

Oh and we have alot of winnable league games coming up soon so lets see how we're doing end of the January!!

Well said mate. Compared to last season it is a dip in form, but we have got 3 quality strikers who are scoring goals, 33 goals between already this season, which i think is fantastic, as woody said when casey and ursell are back and fully fit, we have that extra option to bring one of the three off the bench if its 1-1 or 0-0 with 10-15 minutes left to go.

as i said before, keep the faith

Hear, hear, I think it's only right that we get a sense of perspective on things. One loss is not even a dip in form, it's only natural that teams will occasionally lose, we can't control all the factors in a game, the officials being just one example. We've had one of the best forms in the league so far, and there shouldn't be any reason why it won't continue. It's a case of just looking forward, not dwelling on the past. So I for one think that we'll have plenty more to cheer this season!

Absolutely. This thread should be renamed the "Keep things in perspective" thread. A dip in form is going 4 or 5 games without a win not 2. Anyway nobody can deny that this bunch of players give 100% every single game and that’s why no matter what the result is they will not get any criticism from me.

Think back to last season for a minute and then come back to the present...things are going rather well aren’t they.

Simon and the players deserve a big pat on the back for making this season so enjoyable to watch, go knows after the pap we had to put up with last season we deserve it.

A good post woody but as the person who started asking questions after the Bashley Game it's only right i defend my point of view.

Yes we have played some of the top sides in the last few games and have lost just the once however. it is after playing the best that you can gain a sense of how far the team has moved on and make a judgement.

I wasn't being overly critical and am behind the team and SL 100% but i do think we should "keep things in perspective" and admit that whilst the team has moved forward there is still more to come.

I think windsor are fantastic when allowed to play positive open attacking football, there's very few teams that can live with us on that score but against Bashley when we weren't allowed to impose ourselves and taking the fewer chances your granted becomes all the more important, it's obvious to me anyway that Windsor still have to prove themsleves they can match a team who's putting themselves about.

On last saturdays evidence they can't and i've yet to read anyone who's put anything forward to counter that point. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />
