So what do we reckon? No idea about this lot 'cept think we played em once before moons ago? My guess(and it is just a guess), is that they will be a unit sort of team very workmanlike. Anybody out there ever seen them recently?

 

As for team selection, guess that depends on whether anyone from the club has actually had a peek at what they are all about. Either way, looking forward to this one. No pressure of league points for both teams, but the lure of the next round to go for.

Team selection will depend on the fitness of some players.

 

Chris took a knock on Tuesday, Nathan had an Ankle problem, Joe had flu, Rikki finished lame due to a crunching tackle and Hefffs is not available due to a family commitment..

 

The mango's played Hx in the last round so information is available, but to be honest,(first 15 aside) it wasn't a great performance by Hx so we didn't see the mangos under two much pressure.

 

What we do know is, that on our day we can beat anyone, so a good performance from our thoroughbreds should see us through.

Macca, Sweyne, Blewitt & Kerrers

Game, Dorms, Hunter & Hodgie

VJ & Holland.

I think we need expereince at the back, nothing against Swaine, excellent prospect, but we haven't done well when the 2 youngsters have played together, so I would go for

or alternately

If Whelpdale is not fit then Hill would come in

I think he played centre back as it appens..

 

Blewitt and Swaine did OK against Dagenham but that was with Heffer in a holding role. I do agree with Dilbert's sentiments (especially now he's rich). I hope Whelpdale is fit and I would do everything I could to get Nathan or Rikki and Joe out there too.

I would pick Nathan but not Flack. I would start with Holland and Nathan with the big boys Rikki and Vinni coming on as subs. Oh dear, a little windfall and I've got the taxman on my back.
