Whitewebbs are second in their League, are a very good side, are high on confidence and have home advantage.

Kentish Town are playing away from home, are on a run of three games without a win, were knocked out of this cup by Codicote last season (I was there) and haven't won a single cup match all season.

Horace has also predicted a Whitewebbs win.

Krooner has predicted Kentish Town to get thrashed.

InformationX has predicted the game to go to penalties, thereby making it a 50/50 chance of Kentish Town not winning.

Finally, I would advise you to look at our respective positions in the current Prediction League table and see if you can work out which of us is most likely to get any prediction right although, as I always have to say in these circumstances because you don't seem to have the capability to get it into your head, it is a single prediction that, like every other prediction of mine, will prove to be either right or wrong but is what I genuinely believe at this moment in time to be a likely scoreline.

Now, stop being a prat and, as Lato says, change the record.

PBT

Would I be correct in thinking that, if a player had already played for another side in this year's Herts Senior Cup, he would be ineligible for the Centenery Trophy? (I believe that a player can't "play down".)

Rule 6© In Saturday Competitions (excluding the Charity Competitions), a player can move up in status of Competition without being cup-tied, but he cannot move down in status (unless it is for the Reserve or lower team of the same Club). Once a player has played in a higher status of Competition, the player cannot play in a lower status of Competition. A player will be permitted to play for the same Club in another Competition, providing that Club operates more than one team, (subject to the conditions of Rules 6f, 6g and 6h)

Depends who they wanted to play in the lower competition for, Horace. If a player had played in the Senior Cup for Hertford, for example, he could play in a lower competition for Hertford Reserves (as long as he hasn't played 15 first team games) but not for any other club.

so a player who had played in the Senior Cup for , say, Broxbourne Borough, couldn't play for, let's say Kentish Town in the Centenery Trophy?

Horace - I am not sure what you are getting at here, I spoke to John Venables at Broxbourne this morning and he has cleared Safraz Pivano to play at Whitewebbs if selected, the only Cup competition Safraz has played in this season for Broxbourne is the Challenge Trophy which wouldn't effect his eligibility in County Cups. Anyway we are considering sending a Reserve side to Whitewebbs to give them a decent run out, that way it will even things up and make more of a game of it.

Another example of getting your excuses in early in case it all goes wrong rhodes?

Incidentally apologies to HTFCew for 'bantering' on a prediction thread
