Flackwell Heath came away without any rewards for yet another gallant display, this time against AFC Hornchurch at Wilks Park on Tuesday evening. A highly charged game saw Heathens Goalkeeper Nick Hart in inspired form and his first half penalty save from Kris Lee, along with several other fine stops seemed to have put The Heathens on their way to at least a point. Unfortunately, Hornchurch captain Jim McFarlane got free from his marker to head home from a corner kick on 81 minutes to steal the points.

Flackwell’s Chris Geary saw red two minutes later when he reacted to a rough challenge and got his marching orders from referee Mr. Downey to put an end to a frustrating evening for the home side.
