It certainly can, at the discretion of the Management Committee!

Not sure it's as cut and dried as that. If a club has no ground at all, and clearly has to get one...

Horace - Thanks, that's right and as you helpfully pointed out earlier it's also at the discrection of the Management Committee who have kindly bent over backwards this season to help us out with Hendon messing us about and then pulling the plug over the groundshare agreement.

I thought it had already been clarified on here by our Hendon contact that there was no groundshare agreement? The SSML Committee may well have bent over backwards for you in the past, but it remains to be seen if they will do so again.

And don't forget that the constitution of the league - the actual make-up of each division - has to be voted in at the league AGM.

Also, look at the various clubs near the bottom of the two lower BGB divisions who are in the SSML catchment area........if they have to be fitted in there may not be space for any promotion from Div One.

Old lag - Fair point but we'll wait and see what happens, there is scope to increase the number of teams in Division 1 for next season from 16 to 18 and besides it wouldn't be fair if for example 'the mighty' Brimsdown Rovers and Kentish Town weren't promoted at the end of a long hard fought campaign to ply their trade against the Premier Division elite next term.

HTFCew - Aren't Hertford Town hoping to be promoted out of the SSML into the Ryman Division 1 North for next season either by overhauling Edgware Town or hoping that two teams will be promoted which I think will probably end up being the case.

Kentish Town, as you seem desperately keen to overlook, are currently in 7th place on a points per games played average. How on earth could it be unfair to them? What's so special about them? Every club has a long hard fought campaign and most have legal use (i.e. written agreement) of one permanent venue for home matches.

I speculate

Edgware - Promoted to Ryman/Southern (FA decide)

Two relegated from SSML Premier - Haringey & Bigg Town (bottom two at present)

Hanwell, Flackwell Heath/Berko & Beaconsfield - into SSML Premier (Barton are throwing cash trying to stay up at present and are winning games)

Promoted from Div One - Brimsdown (have games in hand and ground/facilities are OK)

Currently 21 clubs - with the above promotion and relegation the premier is back to 22 and Div One is strengthened by one.

I must say i was going to post to this but refrained as he did put in brackets (bottom 2 at present) which is the fact as it stands so i have no complaint there. although i would like to add, that like brimsdown haringey borough do have games in hand and still have to play most of the bottom half of the table at home!

Well that's hardly surprising is it seeing that they have only played a handful of games at Coles Park however their best form has been away from the hallowed turf this season at places like Holmer Green, Tring and the two Biggleswade Club's and this is a little concerning as they have historically 'choked' when your Langford's, Royston's and Tring's have come to call.
