The new Clement Temile thread

Recommended Posts

I'll be in a pub in Hackney somewhere at the leaving do of one of the girls in the office. I'll be able to forget about football for a whole evening and recharge the batteries for the three games I'll be watching on Saturday!

(How much innuendo can Paula extract from the above, I wonder?)

Paula - You don't call that innuendo do you, surely you preferred mine when we were 'an item' a while back, I vaguely remember you saying that it got your pulses racing.

Paula - Well so do I love, I was well up for it actually and still am.

Folks - So come on, who heard 'the great one' at 7.30 this evening live on BBC Sport, he went down a storm.

Did anyone happen to hear the live radio interview with 'the great one' yesterday evening.

That's a shame, you missed something very special, he had the interviewer eating out of the palm of his hand, Lee Scott and Thomas Looney style, who said that our illustrious neighbours will be formally approached by the BBC to play us in a friendly next season.

I thought I read somewhere that Clement Temile was a shy non publicity seeking man who was just trying to better himself in football coaching. He would feel out of place in a studio being asked questions but now I suddenly find he is doing radio interviews, has been approached to be a pundit when Israel come to London (presumably it's the only way he can get into the game as his estranged son won't get him a complementary ticket) and his quotes are all over the world's paers like a rash. What has changed in this god fearing introvert to make him such a 'rent-a-quote' Z list celebrity?

Lato - Fair point however we have painstakingly 'coached' 'the great one' over the last few months to be more comfortable and open with the press and publicity and he is perfectly fine now, afterall he is going to have to live with it like it or not, it would be the same as Jose Morinho or Alex Fergusson stating that they didn't want to do press, radio and tv interviews. If you had bothered to tune your dial and had heard Clement on Friday evening you would have mistaken him for Gordon Strachan or Harry Redknapp.

Lato - The Manager is absolutely fine about it, afterall it's a huge honour for him to be working hand in hand with 'the great one'.

Surely it went without saying, we are all honoured to be in the company of greatness at Kentish Town, we have to pinch ourselves on a daily basis just incase we wake up.
