The new Clement Temile thread

Recommended Posts

it's a story about Toto Tammuz and his problems regarding Israeli nationality. He's good enough to play football for the country, is willing to to serve in the armed forces and speak the language but can't get nationality.

What relevance has Kentish Town got apart from you trying to shoe horn it into the story. Yes his father coaches there and as he (and his mouth piece - you) happen to be in England than English based journalists can get hold of you for a (mis) quote. Surely though the only thing they are going to want to know from CLement Temile is precisely why Toto was 'abandoned' (thier words not mine) by his father in a foreign country?

I have just this minute had word that 'the great one' has been featured heavily in 'When Saturday Comes' (WSC) magazine presumably for March which is not on the streets as yet, don't forget to get your copy as I doubt there will be a link available to the article. I wonder what will be next, perhaps even Hello or OK.

As I subscribe to that magazine I shall see what it has to say when it arrives and what the actuality of 'features heavily' is.

Lato - I gather he is all over it like a rash with a fetching photograph, when is it likely to drop onto your doormat as I do find that with subscriptions the magazine in question is always in the shops long before it arrives and they are more trouble than they're worth.

well he's not in the March edition. I'll eagerly await the April one

Lato - Are you sure as I was reliably informed it was March, the April one will be a little 'after the Lord Mayors Show' as from what I can gather the connection with Toto is touched upon briefly and Israel will have already soundly beaten England by then if Toto plays in the game.

yes I'm sure. Definitely no picture. And anyway the 'March' edition came out in early February as thats the way magazines tend to work. The April edition will be on sale from March 7th

clip Rods, are you not an England supporter? Don't you want your country to qualify for the next major finals?

Yes of course I am an England supporter but am just being realistic, having watched that appalling showing against Spain with MacLaren clearly not up to the job and knowing Israel will be primed like a 100 metre sprinter on Olympic final day without Toto can you imagine what they will be like with him in the team. Anyway even if we lose in Tel Aviv we can still qualify for Euro 2008 although it will be an uphill task and if Toto plays at Wembley too that will be another three points lost.

So don't tell me you think Clement Temile should be the next England boss.

Well I would certainly like to see it and could help all my 'good friends' out on here with tickets and hospitality of Haringey Borough proportions where you would be able to rub shoulders with 'the great one' at the new Wembley. I can't see MacLaren lasting beyond the Israel game however fully expect Sam Allardyce to take over the reigns, he will then hopefully, be locking horns with Clement and his Nigeria team in South Africa in 2010.

Gypsy Rose Rhodes? Crystal balls? Allardyce - no chance! Tainted by allegations of corruption, yet to be resolved.

Well yes but so was Venables, who else is there, Curbishley perhaps!! Anyway Allardyce is about as corrupt as Seb Coe, he doesn't need to be as he has the World at his feet.

Would that be Seb ' I said it would be two but it could actually be nearer nine billion to pay for the London White Elephant Olympics ' Coe.

And as for the next England manager well I obviously am whole heartedly behind the campaign for Temile to get the job.

Christ! Coe was a Tory Minister! Since when did having the World at your feet mean that you weren't corrupt? In my experience, the more there is to get, the greedier you become!

What's all the fuss about Seb Coe all of a sudden, I thought he was the ultimate British hero following his exploits on the track in the 80's and getting us the 2012 Olympics single handed.

I always preferred Steve Ovett as a runner and a person. And don't even get me started on the Olympics. But I'm not surprised you like him.

Why does that not surprise me, Ovett was an unpopular odd ball and 99.9% of people preferred Coe in the 80's when they did battle. Also what's wrong with London getting the Olympics, if anyone can make a success of them we can and the cost is always going to be an opportunity for the doom and gloom merchants to criticise.
