stringbok
Please excuse me if this is a naive question. I only started watching Town this season as it seemed a way to watch football in a nice friendly atmpsphere. I go to games with my young daughter. I notice that Wimbledon bring a lot of fans to their away games. So I was wondering whether this game was safe or one to avoid. If the former do you have any advice for the game e.g when to turn up, where to stand / sit. We normally turn up at 2.55 and sit in the seats opposite the club house. Whilst I'm here same set of questions for the Chelmsford game. cheers

Ryan.c
HA HA! We don't call you lot cardboard cutouts over here for nothing. First game back in Chelmo and all you could hear was us. This season all you could hear was us. Last season all you could hear was us. Do you see a pattern emerging?

GazzaBTFC
No they won't be...8 Coaches and even they admit there were hangers on travelling because the ride was free. The "magic" of the cup is over for them but they still have "stars" in their eyes. They obviously can't do the sums... One coach to Hendon, 8 coaches to Aldershot...Come on, really. You're telling me that there was sudden 1,250% increase in the Chelmsford away support and they'll all stay...Bollox. Inflated bollox at that. Rick the Dick
Stringbok, As has been said elsewhere, there should be no reason at all why your daughter shouldn't enjoy both the games you mention, in my experiance. Obviously there will be a lot more people than she may be used to, but a great atmosphere. Last season the Wimbledon game was segregated (at their request I think) but it was probably unnecessary. It may mean that you can't get to your usual "spot" though, if that's the case this season. There's no worries at all with the Chelmo game. We all love each other really.

Localfan
Oh yes you would gazza, if Riccay was given the same chance as we have to get out of this league, you'd jump at it.......come on....... In anycase, for both sets of fans the 30th will be another 'cup' game, and many will travel. I know you find it annoying but there will be a great more then 200 at New Lodge!!!!

Rick the Dick
Quote: In anycase, for both sets of fans the 30th will be another 'cup' game, and many will travel. 'fraid I disagree there LF. For 'ricay we need points, and it doesn't matter where they come from. Each game's as important as the next and "bragging rights" are a minor consideration. There should be a good crowd as this fixture always catches the imagination of the occasional supporter. But once it's over we immidiately start thinking of the trip down to Folkestone the following Saturday. Anyway, we've already taken a point off you at Melbourne this season and we've improved since then, so there's only gonna be one outcome

GazzaBTFC
Actually, the music was okay...if you like lots of soft rock. It's just it's always cold and windy when we go there...Still, we should be grateful that it isn't a mid week game...yet.
Localfan
Ah well, see even both of you are getting the flavour of it now!!!!.....it'll be a good day at New lodge and you'll make cash at the gate for the improvemnts you need.....come on don't run the tie down!!!! I make the occasional forray to keep an eye on you But what about all these yellow cards? Another four at Aldershot wasn't it?
