Slough Town vs Aylesbury United - latest

He is walking round with a giant cast on his foot and has been missing for several weeks through injury.

Tonight's game was reasonable. Slough worked hard but in a game of few chances it seemed that United got the rub of the green. Their first looked offside and their second was a neat finish into the bottom corner. Bartley ran his socks off up front and drew some unfavourable attention from their number 4. Would say Barts was MOTM. Miller also worked hard and did well for his goal.

What a poor game.

We looked like we were not bothered about the result.

And they were one hell of a bad side.Sad to hear errol did not want to play because there was no money there for him.He let his team mates down there me thinks.===BRING ON SAT AND THE BIG MUST WIN===

If we (Aylesbury) were bad what does that make you? we could have had four or five and you had one shot!!

I would think like us you would have liked a home draw with WYCOMBE from a money point of view if nothing else.

Its always easy to say a mickey mouse cup when you loose and get beaten by a better team.

Best of luck in thhe league but on the performance you will struggle.

Being honest although I would have liked us to win (of course) i'm not really bothered at all. Avoiding relegation is what it's all about this season and we have a MASSIVE game Saturday against Walton.

Personally as the clock wore down in the second half I did not want us to equalise and force extra-time as Saturday is SO important.

...and no offence here, but if you think a cup tie against Wycombe in the Berks & Bucks is a moneyspinner I think you may have to think again!! Even your fans are calling it a mickey mouse cup!!

Didn't think we were that bad last night. Thought Wilko played well in the centre of defence. Bartley and Miller ran their hearts out. Mason had a better game than I've seen for a while and didn't seem afraid to shoot. Must mention Drake who had a good game and commanded the back four and box exceptionally well. Couldn't have done anything about their first (offside) goal. The second was well placed and didn't think there was anymore he could have done. Drake also made an excellent save at 0-0 with a low dive to the right.

Agree with Martin that Barts would have been my MOTM as well.

Actually it will be a moneyspinner for us because it will be only our 2nd game at our new ground in Aylesbury (hopefully the B&B will allows is to play it there!), which means we can actually take some money instead of giving all our gate receipts straight back to Leighton Town. And then there's any bar takings to factor in, which are usually quite good at Haywood Way.

Also didnt think it was a bad performance last night, thought we at least deserved to take it to extra time, but it just wasnt to be, we seemed to have the majority of the possession, and we ran at them so many times but, as usual, got lost in the final third.

thought bartley had a good game upfront, both him and miller kept running all night, but i felt we needed daly on the pitch a lot earlier if not from the start - needed a bit of height, was he part injured or something?

once again terry davies was great, attacking and defending so well, i really hope we can hold onto him.

well done to the players a decent performance they all kept going throughout, and despite the defeat (its only the B&B!!), but we need to work on taking those chances, shooting earlier etc.

got to disagree with the anonymous person who clearly doesn't have a space bar on his keyboard... we should be encouraging players to take shots rather than walking it into the net everytime.

Agree with the majority that Barts took MOTM, with miller working his socks off, no idea why daly wasn't on earlier but i'm sure there was a sensible reason.

Would've liked to have seen that game played with a full squad from us because i didn't think we looked that bad...

oh, and fair play to their keeper, who had a sense of humour - something lacking in oppo keepers nowadays.
