Just to let everyone know that Steph could not get his hands out of his pockets because it was too cold and he didn't have his gloves!

Does anyone want to assist the JETS with selling the GG tickets? If I can, then I am sure someone else can. You do not miss the game because most of the crowd are in by the start. If they get past you without buying a ticket, then you raise your voice and they tend to come back.

Most of last night's crowd bought a ticket to shut me up!

It's good fun, honest!

I completely agree with Steph's post, but then as he was standing near me I guess we saw the same positives and problems.

Bastian had a great game but was nowhere near fit enough for the full 90 minutes. Quite amusing to hear Jim Chandler summon "Dave" off early in the second half, only for Dave Hunt (as opposed to Bastian) try to make a premature exit.

And we fell to pieces for the last 15 minutes or so after Dave Hunt had actually been subbed. Hunt had an OK game, doing his job as a spoiler and was missed when he went off. But something went very wrong either in the giving or the receiving of instructions to Mackie when he replaced Hunt, because he quite clearly did NOT go into the slot that Hunt had vacated. We were very lucky not to concede an equaliser - quite how the ball stayed out of our net during a couple of the Wakering attacks late on I still don't know.

Crace did not look sharp, but he has to be able to play with somebody other than Hammatt if the occasion demands. I thought Lee Smith did pretty well considering he has not had a consistent run of games. He seems to be fated to pick up niggling injuries at the moment. He played one excellent ball through to Crace who should have finished but scuffed his shot - not for the only time. Crace should have bagged at least 2 goals I thought.

Magona was solid, though not tested by a pacy winger on the right (thank god) and Velandia did well, hitting some glorious long range balls right to left. It's a matter of time before he unlocks defences regularly for us.

Rudi looked like a player coming back from 4 weeks off - you could see how frustrated he was with his own game as he sets such high standards. But I don't think he was booked?? which shows he is learning from previous experiences. He will come good - just needs a game or two.

Rest assured that Peter Hammatt WAS as loud as ever. In fact he was positively apoplectic for the last 15 minutes - as was Jim Chandler - when our midfield disintegrated.

But Simon Tickner was my man of the match - he was outstanding the whole match and hardly lost anything in the air.

Good that we got the 3 points, but we really needed that second goal to kill off the game during the second half. We will need to play much better against Canvey on Saturday.

Interesting how tight the league table is. 3 or 4 wins on the bounce will put us right up there, and the top ten have all been dropping points to each other. Really is all to play for.

Could not agree more, he is my player of the season so far, yes I know Crace has scored bags of goals but I like the fact we have a "real" defender at the back & seems to have a good partnership with Disco.

Spoke to Mrs R about helping out the other week Dad, do I need an interview? Do you need to see my C.V?
Would like to take the job on a full time basis though I need to save for my matching golf jacket!

Why would we want to see your French Car?

The more help the better. Let's just hope that even more people offer their services on a matchday.

Yes, yes, yes I will but I think my skills are better employed with the golden goal tickets, as this shower of guilt hangs over me when I give you the tickets & takings back at kick off so I can watch the game, when it really needs someone to go round the crowd during the 1st half so you can get everyone. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bisou.gif" alt="" />
