Final Score

A fairly well contested first half and a great strike from Bastien leaving Louis Green stranded. 1-0 at half time. Second half was poor. For once Crace's finishing was well below par and as the half went on it really looked as though GWR would equalise. We had JJ to thank for saving the 3 points as he pulled off a number of good saves. 3 Points is what we needed but GWR will feel that they deserved something out of the game.

Thanks to those who willingly gave up their hard earned cash to enter the Goalden Goal competition last night. I think the thought of them being 'outed' on this forum if they didn't buy a ticket had something to do with it!

The winning time was 35 minutes.

Did you know we had a Society member at the ground last night who had come all the way from Australia to watch us play? Glad he did not come last Friday!

I felt that Dave Bastian had a very good game. He has speed and positional sense and demonstrated that he can score as well. I think he will be tremendous when he gets back to full fitness. He was clearly suffering towards the end of the first half and it was right that he was subbed.

However, the pressure in the second half came about because we missed his runs on the left and, suddenly, when Dave Hunt was also subbed. GWR had more space in midfield. As Lee went off for the last 10 minutes or so the team looked really disjointed.

Hello everyone.Long time no see.

The reason i have come back on this forum is because i have recieved several e-mails in the last few weeks suggesting/accusing me of being another posters.I think two or three names have been mentioned.Let me assure you that if i wanted to say anything on here, i would do so myself. The fact is, that i no longer have interest in any peripheral activies of the club. The society/The board/The management..etc.OR any interest in any other clubs. My only interest lies in supporting Town and its players during the 90 minutes of a game.End of!I do not wish to have anything to do with the general affairs and business of running the club,or discussing them on these forums.

PS..To Nickynoc.I see you are still accussing me of having you banned. That is totally false. If someone from Town did report you IT WASN'T ME,and i have no idea who did report you.Got It!

It seemed to me that we missed Bryan Hammatt. Ricci looked completely lost in the first half. Things were similarly disjointed last week against Edgware.

Wondered how long one of you lot started saying that we struggled cause Bryan wasn't there

I'm not saying we struggled purely because he wasn't playing, but I think we looked even worse without him than we have at times with him. Is that better?

Well done to Jim and the boys.Third home league win on the bounce.

Mr Cunneen: is that a club record?

No indeed Thomas....

We had 12 consecutive home wins between 22.12.01 and 02.10.02 (all games)

and 10 consecutive home league games between 22.12.01 and 30.11.02.
