Dull 1st half where Berko were pretty much all over us.

Berko went 2-0 up early in the 2nd then City started to play, went 2-2 Campbell and Martin, Berko won it in the last minute.

 

Must say pretty [****!!****] tonight with a full first team out.

 

Wilmot, Gledhill, Naylor, Campbell, Moran, Challinor, Oakes, Evans, De Souza, Crawshaw, Kean. Subs played Martin and Deacon - Don't know if anyone else came on as I went 10 mins from time.

 

Shame as a City v Stevenage final was on the cards

Craig came on for Crawshaw (I think) late on and missed a couple of chances.

 

We looked very rusty until we went 2-0 down then totally dominated I thought, very unlucky to lose but Berko missed a lot of chances in the first half.

To be fair, full first team doesn't exactly reflect the fact that Brown (away) and Martin (sub) weren't in the starting line up, and the three new lads, Stirling, Young and Slinn were all ineligible to play. That's about half the team. But it was poor until we went 2 down, I'll give you that, and we'll need a bit more bite in the middle (like it was against Aldershot every game would do me, thanks).

 

Does anyone know whether the forum going ahead on 23rd means the Chairman isn't going to the EGM, or whether the forum will go ahead without him?

No excuses. We were poor. Playing a, let's face it, Division 2 (if the old format still existed) side, we should be winning games like that.

 

We need 12 points from the next four games, like Thornsy says.
