Where is Rhodes?

Recommended Posts

I know the smart answer is in the Mediterranean!!!

However surely the Rhodes who posts on here didn't go to Ruislip Manor tonight...did he???

Not my fault the game was called off. He should have checked with the club...he saw what the weather was like after all.

What's up with the weather - it's been fine here all day. Have you had a monsoon in Ruislip?

I even dried the first team kit outside today!

I thought you were all his bestest friends...surely somebody rang him?

I thought he would have got the same text message that I did mid-afternoon!

Hi folks, yes just got home Lato style and not a happy bunny, went to Grosvenor Vale and got there late due to delays on the tube only to find the game called off. Surely somebody could have alerted me, I never received a text despite my mobile number being readily available in the league and County handbooks. I'm very disappointed and suspect some sort of conspiracy, I have to say I'm surprised the hallowed Grosvenor Vale turf couldn't take a bit of light drizzle, Coles Park style, as it hardly rained at all today.

Who do you believe should have alerted you then Rhodes? No-one alerted me either, or HTFCew or Paula

Horace - Nice to have you back onboard. I've lost you already though as I didn't know you, HTFCew or Paula were planning to attend the game tonight, did the three of you have a wasted trip too then.

If you had your mobile on you, did you ring Ruislip Manor? Their number is readily available in the League and County handbooks.

Did the Ruislip Secretray know you were going there to do "personal transfer business"? If he did, he should have called you (but may have been too busy alerting the people who needed to know). If he didn't, then he wouldn't know to contact you.

Who else would you expect to contact you? There are only Ruislip supporters on this forum, no committee members to my knowledge.

Of course we didn't, we were never going. But why do you think that anyone on this forum should have alerted you?

Potters Bar Town - Well if it were me and I thought somebody was planning to make a special trip or might be en route I would have made a point of trying to contact them, it's all about going that extra mile and my number is also on our Club Website. I would never have dreamt in a million years that the game would be off as it hardly rained at all in Central London today.
